Group HR Manager, Nathan & Nathan, Dubai, UAE

 Purpose:

As Group HR Manager, you will deliver a proactive and flexible HR service by providing relevant and appropriate HR support to all employees, whilst driving best practices and ensuring compliance with all Company procedures, documented policies and employment legislation. The Group HR Manager will have responsibility for three operational sites to include Sharjah, Egypt and also the newly opened Ethiopian facility. The Group HR Manager will provide HR advice and support to managers on a wide range of strategic and operational HR issues and will be expected to drive HR improvements and increase business performance.

Summary:

The Group HR Manager will lead the HR Team in providing the full range of HR Services for its operations. The Group HR Manager will manage the end to end employee life cycle activities, ensuring operational excellence across functional areas like employment compliance and controls to include: industrial relations deployment, employee life cycle activities ranging from talent attraction, talent retention, compensation and benefit and performance management The position will play an active role in initiating continuous improvements to HR Operational workflow to improve efficiency and productivity. The position will be accountable in leading the HR Operations strategy and coordinating the deployment of its operations with the organization. There is a high focus on standardization of processes and alignment of systems amongst the group. The position is required to be hands-on, great in recording and organizing and a motivational manager, who likes to show by example.

Pre-requisites & Requirements:

  • Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology or related;
  • Experience of successfully developing, leading and implementing strategy, policy or operational plans across a medium or large organization in manufacturing;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English and Arabic;
  • 10 years of experience in Human Resources, including experience in employee relations and delivering on a wide range of HR initiatives across a large organization.
  • Flexible attitude
  • Ability to problem solve by thinking outside the box
  • Proven experience recruiting at all levels.
  • An ability to interact proactively with management and staff at all levels of the organization in the resolution of HR issues
  • Well-developed computer literacy skills within a Microsoft Office environment
  • Must be able to work with diversified cultures and lower levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing effective services to employees and the delivery of HR core processes
  • Develop and maintain key internal and external relationships, which may include business leaders, hiring managers, industry contacts, employees.
  • Create and review KPI’s and effective measurement tools
  • Responsible for the HR budget and minimizing costs where possible.
  • Proactively identify, plan and implement process improvements across the department that will increase efficiency.
  • Ensuring employee welfare and relations are positive.
  • Identifying and meeting the training needs of existing staff and ensuring appropriate training is provided.
  • Set up of career path and periodical reviews in HR.
  • Responsible for ensuring all employment and worker contracts and agreements issued are fit for purpose and in line with current policy.
  • Undertake the full range of staff recruitment and selection processes within agreed timeframes, including drafting and placing advertisements, coordinating candidate information, conducting first round interviews, conducting reference checks and preparing offers of employment.
  • Coordinate with PRO for employee visa & contracts renewals and other tasks jobs related to various Government departments.
  • Ensuring the work place is a safe environment for employees.
  • Informing employees of opportunities for development and individual growth
  • Understand requirements for employee visa & contracts renewals and other tasks jobs related to various locations.
  • Support various HR projects linked to short and long term HR strategy deliverables to the business.
  • Support with the preparation of weekly/monthly/quarterly reports as required by the Senior Management team
  • Monitor all Employee attendance and take action where necessary.
  • Manage the exit process with regard to exit interviews and settlement inputs to ensure a seamless exit for the employee.
  • Give advice on Company standards to Employees, and respond to general enquiries in a timely manner, being mindful of global time differences.
  • Assist with any requested HR documentation.
