We need a System Lead Engineer,

Job Summary

If you are a Flow expert professional, Emerson has an exciting role for you! We are looking for a Lead System Engineer in Flow domain to work with our Energy & Transportation Systems Team. This role will work independently and as a part of a team to design & engineer the Metering System Projects for variety of Emerson Flow Products like FBS600+, FB3000, ROC, DL 8000 and Metering Supervisory Software. Deliverables includes Control system documents, flow computer software configurations and metering supervisory software configuration. You will participate in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture, and detailed design documents, engineering, site surveys, Factory Acceptance Test support, Carrying out Site Acceptance Test, Commissioning etc. You should have hands on experience of flow computers, metering systems, control system, testing, troubleshooting of complex issues during testing stage and at site.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Detail Design of the Flow Metering System Projects
Maintain the skill level of the whole engineering team.
Responsible for generating/reviewing documents like System Architecture, Functional Design Specification, Modbus Map, Software design basis document, software and system test procedures, and software integration document.
Lead the configuration and testing of the flow computer and Metering Supervisory software like S600+, FB3000, ROC series, Open Enterprise Software.
Lead the configuration and testing of third-party interfaces like flow meters, Gas Chromatograph, Programmable Logic Controller, Distributed Control System, and others within the Network over different communication protocols.
Participation in setup of the system, Pre-Factory Acceptance Test, Factory Acceptance Test, Integration Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test etc.
Perform and lead site services.
Contribute to the overall quality of the organization in the engineering space.
Creating standard protocols & standardizing solutions and documentation for repeat use.
Review Deliverables for Quality & Accuracy with Peers & Lead.
Work with Project Managers to maintain cost, quality & schedule as per contractual terms
Maintain Quality Management system for defects, rework & other indicators

For This Role, You Will Need:

Strong experience in the Engineering of Flow products & Systems
Experience with various Flow domain applications
Detailed hands-on experience Metering Systems, Flow Comp programming, Design, Application programming.
Familiar with American Gas Association Standards, American Petroleum Institute Standards, Liquid & Gas measurements.
Well-versed with key customers' standards and specifications (Saudi Aramco, Qatar Energy, KOC, ADNOC etc.).
Flow Computer Configuration, Coding, Validation, and Testing.
Good hands-on Modbus communication and other communication topologies like DNP3, OPC.
Exposure to Radio and Wireless communication between Flow Computer, RTU’s and Host Systems like SCADA
Experience on all Emerson Flow Computers and RTU’s like S600+, FB 3000, FB 107, ROC, CW RTU’s and Presets like DL6000 and DL8000
Field Instrumentation knowledge for Flow meters, pressure & temperature transmitters, control valves etc.
Familiarity of P&ID, Instrument index, utility & power distribution schemes, power consumption document, loop diagrams,
Evaluation of all Engineering deliverables such as Control Panel drawings, cable block diagrams, wiring diagrams, etc.
Preparation of Project Cycle Documents like Functional Design Documents, Control Narratives, Test Procedures, etc.
Specialized in executing revamp / retrofit projects specific to Flow metering systems.
Customer/vendor/Factory Liaison to fulfill documentation and inspection requirements.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Degree in Instrumentation & Control / Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
Working experience in Saudi Aramco, SABIC, Qatar Energy is an added advantage.
knowledge of Omni, Flow X Flow computer, Citect, and Control Logix PLC will be an added advantage.
Knowledgeable on latest cybersecurity standards & requirements
Basic understanding of networking protocols and concepts

The Lead Quality Assurance Engineer supports the Principal Quality Assurance Engineer, by coordinating business, technical and quality criteria within the delivery. They not only assist the software engineering team in executing the designed test strategy for their product area, but they also assist the product owner in assuring the most optimal user journey. Their primary focus is to understand the business domain both operationally and technically, to provide context to the tests and QA activities they carry out. As a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer you will be technically skilled in software engineering and testing practices. The role co-ordinates and executes end-to-end business process tests in a variety of delivery models in support of the portfolio release trains.

In this role you will:

Work closely with project members, technical product owners, architects and software engineers to understand the complete context of deliveries to translate complex functional and non-functional requirements.
Work with the Core Test Data team to ensure test data is available to support the wide variety of tests that you plan, coordinate and execute at various stages of the SDLC.
Liaise with other product teams to manage the testing of cross dependent features.
Ensure Test Tools are configured correctly and accurately to support the generation of metrics for enterprise-wide dashboards.
Challenge the status-quo where needed with new tools and techniques to continuously raise the bar of quality deliveries.
Implement, maintain and adapt automation frameworks and test harnesses to ensure robust CI pipelines, post deployment (CD) tests and smooth execution of end-to-end tests across systems.
Influence, support and guide Software Engineers to write and maintain automated functional tests through continuous integration to make quality a team deliverable.
Influence and shape enterprise quality roadmaps by running POCs, suggesting tooling improvements and proactively enhancing frameworks for the wider quality community.

Qualification

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology within complex or enterprise environments.
Hands-on experience working with ERP platforms in a technical or quality engineering capacity within digital, ecommerce, or technology-driven environments .
Proven experience developing test strategies within large-scale or enterprise organisations.
Test automation experience using commercial or open-source automation tools.
Strong hands-on capability in developing UI and API automation frameworks, with proficiency in common programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript.
Experience using Source Code Management (SCM) and Continuous Integration (CI) tools, including GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
Advanced scripting skills in SQL and Oracle PL/SQL for test data creation, validation, and back-end testing.
Expertise in context-driven and exploratory testing, with practical application of multiple testing heuristics.
Experience contributing to product discussions, including business process flows, scenario mapping, and solution validation, while staying updated on modern testing methodologies and technology trends.

Troubleshoot Equipment/Process failures and requests proactive corrective actions and makes recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future
Planning and preparing site work for larger project team and managing related subcontractors at site.
Contributing to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work as per customer order and expectations.
Ensuring customer retention by delivering superior customer experience and effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations.
Taking actions to identify new service business opportunities for ABB, in close cooperation with customer and other ABB teams.
Coaching technicians and engineers and supervising complex site activities.

Qualifications

Graduate Engineer in instrumentation, Electrical or Equivalent Engineering degree.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in ABB system 800xA power management system (PMS) with Integration of IEC61850 Devices, application development with PMS specific libraries - project & commissioning is a must have.
Experience in ABB system 800xA and Working knowledge / skillset in industrial communication protocols like IEC104 Modbus- RTU & TCP,, OPC, IEC61131 etc.
Working knowledge in Substation automation system / ABB legacy systems
Experience in Industrial networking, network switch configuration
ICS Cybersecurity competence is an added advantage
