About you

As Associate Quality Technician, located in Jabel Ali (ARE), you will execute a business, site and plant/department quality tasks and activities to enable the business to profitably meet customer and product regulatory requirements related to the quality management system. You will help to promote a customer-focused culture within the plant and will enhance the front-line knowledge and accountability for quality. You use your technical skills to perform a range of routine work activities using existing processes and methods.

Also, you will work on each of the following tasks:

  • Perform routine analyses, non-routine and complex analyses.
  • Follow and train others on the Analytical Work Process (AWP), EH&S and ODMS procedures and practices.
  • Evaluate the validity of data, apply basic statistics, interpret results, and take appropriate action.
  • Monitor analytical systems, identify problems, conduct first-line troubleshooting, and escalate as appropriate.
  • Document, communicate, and archive analytical results, calibration and maintenance data.
  • Perform work according to the Sample Plan, Emergency Contingency Plans, Maintenance and Quality Control Schedules.
  • Perform calibrations and maintenance of analytical systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting of analytical systems.
  • Monitor and maintain calibration standards and consumable items.
  • Manage product retain samples.
  • Help troubleshoot plant and customer problems.
  • Assist in adapting and implementing laboratory IT and data handling systems to the needs of the unit.
  • Network with others to leverage technology, and problem solving and prevention.
  • Review analytical requests for value and alignment with goals.
  • Route analytical requests to the appropriate service provider.
  • Implement response plans for requests.
  • Continuously improve EH&S analytical performance.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to the EH&S and ODMS procedures, and analytical work processes and tools
  • Handles sample management at site.
  • Acts as back-up to Quality Manager role

Required qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Medical Lab or equivalent local education required.
  • Fluent in English

Your preferred qualifications include:

  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience preferred.

Your skills, knowledge, and abilities include:

  • ISO 9001 and GMP knowledge
