Job Description

Key role is to roll out of “Fintech Venture Capital Investments”.

The role requires business development skills and an aptitude for creating organizational collaborations. 

Key role in establishing and managing a fintech venture capital portfolio for the bank, building a strong team to ensure proficient portfolio management and working through bank’s organizational channels to enable collaborations and realize other strategic growth opportunities through fintech investments.

Desired Profile

Masters Degree with 5-10 years investment and portfolio management experience with 

(i) technology venture capital firm preferably with a Fintech focus 

(ii) experience of managing corporate venture in a bank.

Entrepreneurship experience would be added advantage

Strong analytical and financial skills with sound understanding of trending technologies in fintech markets,

Advanced understanding of sub-sectors of Fintech (such as payments, credit) and application of Fintech solutions for banking institutions.

Ability to work in an organizational framework to create collaborations, strategic investments

Manager - Finance, Riyadh, KSA

Job Purpose: 

Leads the finance operations team which manages and ensures accurate booking of all financial transactions and execution of all treasury operations as well as employee payroll and other disbursements across the Group, in line with commercial obligations, budgetary ownership, internal policies/controls and IFRS.  Controls, analyzes and optimizes the Group operating and financing cashflows and utilization of bank facilities through regular cash flow planning and forecasting with the DOF to ensure liquidity is always adequate and at the right cost to support the Group’s current and future needs. Responsible for Group compliance on fiscal matters in KSA (VAT, Zakat). Supports the Group FC and CFO with monthly & statutory reporting key procedures and the statutory audit (and annual budget where required). Key external relationships with the Group’s banking partners, statutory auditors, credit insurers & tax advisory.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

Booking and recording of all financial transactions in line with budgetary ownership by entity and BU, internal policies, and controls and IFRS

Execution of all treasury operations (payables, collections, credit control & insurance, documentary credit, financial guarantees and other instruments, bank funding, cash management & pooling) in support of all departments / entities requirements and to fulfil the Group’s commercial and funding obligations

Monthly cash flow planning and forecasting to ensure liquidity is always adequate and at the right cost to support the Group’s current and future needs.

Actively manages and services bank debt / funding portfolio through review, forecasting and planning of operating & financing cash flows and tracking KPI performance vs. covenants

Supports the GM & Corporate Commercial Finance team, to develop the funding strategy and capital structure and to secure the right bank facilities to optimize financing costs

Preparation of periodical reporting to Asset management and RSG corporate team

Preparation of KSA fiscal reporting & regulatory compliance

Leading and developing the Accounting team

Supports HR & serves Group employees with the review and disbursement of the monthly payroll, business expenses and other reward mechanisms.

Helping Corporate Commercial Finance & IT implement various setups of Financial and Operational systems and other integrations

Implementation monitoring and reconciliation of data from Various software’s

To assist all the activities driven by Corporate Commercial Finance

 

Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports

Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.

 

Continuous Improvement  

Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of the department’s systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.

 

Job Requirements:

 

Qualification and Experience

Bachelor of Accounting from IFAC accredited institution, in Accounting , Finance or any related field.

Certification (CA, CMA, SCOBA ) is preferred

Minimum of 10 years of experience and 2 years in mid-level finance leadership role.

Background in Accounting & Reporting, Accounting Ops & Treasury management, Business Controls.

Financial reporting, controlling, Treasury management (AR, AP)

Knowledge of IFRS (National Financial reporting standards) is preferred

 

Skills :

Excellent Data and Analytical Skills

Excellent with excel.

Strong Presentation & Communication Skills

Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels

Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully handle multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture.

Ability to analyzing, interpret and scrutiny of financial information.

Who we are looking for
High calibre individual with proven track record in Client Service, in-depth industry knowledge and people management skills.
Ideal candidate will have the ability to solution a multitude of different issues in collaboration with operations teams while providing a high level of customer service and creating efficiencies within the Client Service team. Individual will be required to show initiative, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

The team you will be joining is a part of State Street Investment Services (IS). Investment Services gives asset owners and managers access to the essential financial tools they need to deliver effective investment solutions. From core custody, accounting, fund administration and shareholder recordkeeping, to complete operations solutions and servicing for alternative assets like OTC derivatives, private equity and real estate, Investment Services’ tools help our clients make better investment choices and act on growth opportunities.

What you will be responsible for
As an Officer, Client Service, you will
Act as a single point of contact for Custody only / full-service clients, liaising with other internal State Street departments to aid the execution of client deliverables.
Actively engage with clients to collectively manage any open issues to a timely resolution.
Have knowledge of all KYC/AML obligations at State Street and participate in periodic reviews, onboarding documentation collection as required.
Have responsibility for investigation, timely closure or escalation of aging enquiries, with close consideration of associated level of risk.
Liaise with State Street departments and external entities to ensure timely and accurate resolution of queries.
Oversee delivery of monthly KPI reporting / scorecard where applicable.
Facilitate the opening and Closing of Funds and market accounts on behalf of clients
Actively attain SME level knowledge and understanding of business processes and flows via in-depth analysis of workflows and Standard Operating procedures
Delivery of Risk and Control processes for:
Funds Transfers and Transaction Origination
Credit Exposure
Managing and resolving reconciliation breaks
Failed Trades management
Overdraft reporting and managing resolution
Unapplied and Non-receipts of Funds reporting and managing resolution.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly / quarterly/annual accounting reports to clients
Manage and act as escalation for all fund accounting queries received from clients
Develop and maintain excellent working relationship with colleagues and other business areas within State Street, ensuring maximum co-operation across relevant State Street divisions, ensuring platinum service provision for our clients.

In depth knowledge of financial securities markets, language and products as well as legal and regulatory requirements
Strong experience in Banking and Financial Services environment
