E-COMMERCE MANAGER

Mission

As E-Commerce Manager, you will be part of the Middle East Region, reporting to the Managing Director ME & WW Omnichannel Director. You will work closely with the Retail functions, being responsible for the following tasks.

Job responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision:

Defining and leading the E-Commerce strategy for the ME zone, including cross-functional team leadership and collaboration. This involves developing the commercial calendar, digital strategies, and website supervision.

Forecasting & Planning:

Defining and managing sales forecasts for all ME E-Business activities.

Project Management & Innovation:

Proposing, coordinating, and rolling out E-Commerce projects (e.g., Ship from Store, NPS) within the zone.

Collaboration & Coordination:

Working closely with various departments, including Retail Merchandising, Supply Chain, CRM, and Customer Service, to ensure alignment and effective execution of strategies.

Business Optimization & Monitoring:

Monitoring website performance, managing stock strategies, developing online client strategies, and implementing anti-fraud measures to optimize business performance.

E-Commerce Development & Launch:

Defining and implementing E-Commerce zone launch strategies with zone teams.

E-commerce Operations:

Monitoring operations performance, ensuring strong collaboration with warehouse and store to maximize compliance with shipping policy and grant the best client experience.

Continuous Improvement:

Collaborating with Warehouse Team for business strategy application and service improvements. Monitoring NPS (Net Promoter Score) and implementing actions based on feedback.

Profile

• 3-5 years’ experience in Fashion/Luxury Sale
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is preferred
• Manages own image standards on a high level
• Excellent relationships skills
• Organization, professionalism, self-confidence
• Strong customer service skills
• Excel, PPT, Power BI, Akeneo, Sales Force, Algolia.Goal
• Strong knowledge and/or interest for Fashion/Luxury Industry
• Fluent English

About the role

The Retail Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of QDF stores and departments in accordance with overall company policy. Responsible to spend time on the ground in our 24/7 operations, finding new ways to improve the commercial performance of QDF by increasing its turnover and maximising profitability – through people. Ensure promotions are accurate and merchandised to the company’s standards and will also be responsible for managing staff on day to day basis ensuring excellent standards of customer care are met / exceeded.

Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage and motivate the QDFC retail team to increase sales and ensure efficiency. Tour the sales floor regularly, talking to colleagues and customers, and identifying or resolving urgent issues.

• Analyse sales figures and forecast future sales to achieve departmental budget. Use information technology to record sales figures for data analysis and forward planning; analyse and interpret trends to facilitate department planning.

• Ensure that the merchandise is displayed attractively and customers can easily shop for what they need; manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control.

• Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met; resolve health and safety, legal and security issues promptly.

• Work to create a win-win situation where customers are satisfied and have a great shopping experience in HIA.

• Update colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues to ensure effective communication across the department.

• Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail travel industry, understand forthcoming customer initiatives and monitor what competitors are doing.

• Initiate positive changes based on on-going observation to improve the business performance.

• Organise special promotions, displays and events in order to maximise profits and meet the target budget.

Qualifications

About you

• The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 6 years of job-related experience

• Experience in retail developing, managing and influencing people and the bottom line results

• Experience in customer facing, fast paced business.

• Financial knowledge of Cash handling, banking and working with budgets.

• Experience working in Middle East; international business or luxury market experience.

• Prior experience with Duty Free or airport.

• Operational knowledge of a Retail Environment.

• Knowledge of the business environment in the region and ability to tap into networks to stay current

• Highly organized and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.

• A hands-on retail operator who is flexible around the needs of a 24 hour business.

• Proficient with MS Office, while working knowledge of other retail IT systems is must.

• High degree of analytical and financial reports.

• Customer focus, tracking budget expenses, pricing, market knowledge, staffing, results driven.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a commercially driven and strategically minded Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the company’s retail operations and drive long-term growth. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in business development within clothing, textiles, and branded fashion, and a deep understanding of the Omani market. The role includes leading the development of the Uniform Division, enhancing store profitability, and executing growth strategies that align with the Group’s vision.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

• Manage daily operations across retail stores, warehousing, logistics, production, and customer service.
  
• Standardize and optimize operational processes and systems across all units.
  
• Ensure alignment between operations, merchandising, procurement, and marketing teams.
  
• Track and enhance performance through clear KPIs and regular reporting.
  

Business Development & Market Growth:

• Drive new business opportunities specifically within clothing, textiles, and uniforms.
  
• Lead the development and expansion of the Uniform Division, including B2B partnerships and institutional clients.
  
• Explore new product lines, strategic alliances, and revenue channels.
  
• Evaluate regional opportunities within Oman and the GCC to support store expansion and brand positioning.
  

Store Performance & Sales Strategy:

• Assess and turnaround underperforming retail locations, applying data-driven strategies to improve profitability.
  
• Maximize peak season production and sales by optimizing workforce, stock, and infrastructure.
  
• Lead initiatives to enhance off-season sales, promotional effectiveness, and customer engagement.
  
• Drive in-store experience improvements and retail technology adoption (POS, CRM, loyalty programs).
  

Strategic Planning & Presentation:

• Deliver a comprehensive 5-year strategic plan outlining revenue growth, brand development, store expansion, and operational improvement.
  
• Prepare a board-level presentation of this 5-year plan as part of the final interview stage.
  

Leadership & Team Building:

• Lead, motivate, and manage a cross-functional team across retail operations, HR, logistics, and sales.
  Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
  
• Oversee succession planning, talent development, and recruitment for critical operational roles.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail, Fashion Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Professional exposure to the textile/uniform industry is a strong advantage.

Experience:

• 
  10+ years of senior leadership experience in the clothing, textiles, or fashion industry, preferably within multi-unit retail operations.
• Demonstrated success in business development, retail expansion, and strategic planning.
• Strong experience in P&L ownership, supply chain oversight, and team leadership.
• Solid understanding of Oman's retail and business environment and the wider GCC market.
