General Responsibilities
Leading the design and implementation of digital transformation initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders to align technology solutions with business objectives.
Design/Architect a resilient and scalable multi-tenant ecosystem that ensures isolation at multiple levels, provides self-service functionalities, empowers clients to independently manage their workloads, and sustains uninterrupted operations even in the event of site failures.
Design and Implement a robust, scalable automation solution for infrastructure provisioning and operations that optimizes configuration management processes
Developing architectural blueprints for enterprise systems that optimize business processes, enhance customer experiences, and drive innovation.
Researching emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure that the organization's technology stack remains competitive and up-to-date.
Coordinating with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of architectural components.
Evaluating and recommending technology vendors, tools, and platforms to support the implementation of digital transformation initiatives and enterprise systems.
Developing and implementing architectural governance processes to ensure consistency and compliance with industry standards, best practices, and organizational policies.
Cloud Strategy
Designing and deploying cloud-based solutions that efficiently leverage cloud resources, optimize costs, and meet performance and security requirements.
Design and execute a comprehensive, resilient, scalable, and cost-efficient strategy for cloud migration and adoption by leveraging the Cloud Adoption Framework methodology
Creating detailed cloud strategy roadmaps, outlining the phased approach to cloud adoption, including pilot projects and large-scale migrations.
Selecting the appropriate cloud service model (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and deployment model (public, private, hybrid) to fit business needs.
Designing cloud-native services, such as serverless functions, managed databases, and AI/ML services, to enhance application capabilities.
Establishing governance and compliance frameworks for cloud environments to adhere to regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Creating detailed cloud strategy roadmaps, outlining the phased approach to cloud adoption, including pilot projects and large-scale migrations.
Evaluating cloud service providers, technologies, and platforms to recommend the most suitable options based on business requirements.
Resiliency, Scalability,
Designing resilient systems that can recover quickly from failures, minimize downtime, and ensure data integrity.
Regularly reviewing and testing system resilience, scalability, and security measures to identify potential weaknesses and implement necessary improvements.
CI/CD and Microservices:
Design a resilient, modular microservice ecosystem leveraging domain-driven design principles, which enhances agility in application development, expedites time-to-market through CI/CD integrations, and dynamically scales according to business needs.
Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines that automate the building, testing, and deployment of microservices, leveraging containerization and orchestration tools for efficient deployment, scaling, and management.
Overseeing the design and documentation of APIs for microservices, ensuring adherence to best practices and comprehensive documentation.
Fostering collaboration between development and operations teams to promote a DevOps culture.
Budgeting/Capacity Planning
Collaborate with business units and stakeholders to comprehensively understand projected growth, upcoming projects, and system demands, allocate resources effectively, and continuously update the capacity plan to reflect actual usage, new business needs, and technological advancements.
Performing cost-benefit analyses to ensure the organization is getting the most value for its investment.
Project Management
Defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with business goals, and developing a comprehensive project plan that includes tasks, timelines, resources, and dependencies.
Overseeing the execution of the project, ensuring that tasks are completed on time, within scope, and within the allocated budget.
Key Certifications
VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) or VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX)
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA)
Certified Kubernetes Administrator or Certified Kubernetes Application
Developer (CKAD)
TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework)
