Senior Club General Manager, Fitness First, UAE

Role Execution:

·       To meet the requirements both commercially and operationally of your own club while providing support to other clubs through club support visits and conference calls.

·       To assist the Head of Operations with maintaining brand standards through integrity and sustainable business practices.

·       Ensure that implementation and execution are performed with excellence.

·       To mentor and develop Club General Managers presently in the business as well as performing Induction and Training with new Club General Managers.

·       Supporting the business in meeting monthly, quarterly and annual budgets and managing like for like growth.

Operating With Excellence:

·       Ensure leading performance in terms of Operating with Excellence through meeting the requirements as set out in the Club Operations manual and maintaining high scores through the quarterly Brand Standards Audits.

·       Leading by example in terms of Implementation and Execution of operational changes are in line with company standard and expectation both in terms of delivery and time lines and performance.

·       Club Maintenance is managed and potential action plans in place for club improvements where needed.

·       Ensure departments are following the Ways of Working as set by Head of departments.

·       Assist in improving company policies and procedures which will improve Operations within Clubs in the business.

·       Positively influence other Club General Managers to meet the above requirements in terms of their own Clubs.

·       Mentor, develop other Club General Managers, in budget setting and actions plans, coaching through a detailed understanding of the Profit and Loss accounts.

·       Make recommendations on how to adapt the brand standards audit, to continuously be aligned with the ever changing operating procedures and requirements of the business.

·       Ensure all Health & Safety requirements are duly completed

Member Experience:

·       Liaise with all departments to support and maximize opportunities for net member movement, maximize the tools provided by Fitness First including Let’s Get You Started, Active8, GX timetable, MyZone, 6D and member events.

·       Contribute to the development of the Member Journey to reflect change within the business and ensure that neighboring clubs are in line with the business requirement.

·       Consistently contributing to developing and improving Member Survey through collative feedback from clubs, to ensure positive movement within our business which includes the key KPI’s of Club Overall Experience, New Member welcome, Group Exercise, Gym Floor and Fitness Experience.

·       Live the Brand and promote the Core Values, Making sure CGM are engaged and love what you do. Developing inter club challenges, participating in regular training courses.

·       Ensuring brand compliance through implementation and management of the Member Journey.

·       To support and participate in local community events.

·       Manage and own the Retention focus in order to promote and achieve Net Gain targets

·       Continue to meet with members requesting to cancel, supporting HO with ideas for reducing attrition in the business (potentially club specific in some areas).

·       Own the Hey Manager process and contact members about their raised concerns/suggestions/complaints ensuring that members know that we care about them and the business.

Commercial Management:

·       Must be able to analyze the P&L and make forecasts quarterly and annually.

·       Manage all revenue lines to achieve annual revenue budget and like for like revenue growth.

·       Achieve budgeted member movement in terms of sales and renewals ensuring that your club meets the dues lines on both POS and Membership Dues.

·       Maximize the Personal Training model to achieve and exceed the Personal Training Revenue budget and like for like growth.

·       Understand and influence membership yield and revenue yield to ensure sustainability within your club’s revenue model.

·       Research and test new products to bring into the business and maximize all opportunities for Revenue growth.

·       Build relationships with the surrounding Businesses in the immediate area in order to potentially attract Corporate Members.

·       Educate and develop your Mentored ACGM/CGM’s to achieving the Club and Company requirements and set budgets, in order to promote personal growth within the company.

·       Provide remote support to neighboring Club General Managers who struggle to meet their Revenue Budgets.

·       Assist and develop neighboring Club General Managers on analyzing, preparing and presenting quarterly Business Reviews.

·       Prepare and present quarterly Financial Reviews on your performance and be able to justify current results as well as produce a Plan of Action and Focus Points for the next quarter.
