- Responsible for maintaining at all times a good relationship with the principal Shareholder of QICC and its representatives, and for ensuring that they are informed of Company affairs to their entire satisfaction.
- Observe GCC market development and analyse customer needs with a short, medium and long term view, and prepare the company to cope with them
- Support the strategic expansion of Nexans in the country through investment and acquisition
- Facilitate and ensure co-operation between all Nexans units and/or functions in the same or in other Areas, and establish efficient processes and communication flows
- Monitor and guide unit(s) performance against agreed targets and budgets
- Mentor and review the performance of the GCC Executive Team
- Manage the Executive Team to ensure all strategic objectives are met through its actions; ensure the resilience and depth of the Executive team and of senior management.
- Develop human resources to ensure development for their own benefit and the benefit of the company, build a favourable climate for efficient work and for making Nexans a preferred employer on the local labour market, and implement all necessary actions to ensure career management and succession planning run smoothly.
- Recommend remuneration and personal objectives for senior management
- Define local company policies in the framework of Nexans group policies
- Responsible for operational performance of factory in Messaieed, including productivity and efficiency improvement plans and other actions.
- Maintain relationships with top management of major customers & suppliers
- Represent the sub area business to Nexans group including area management, country managers and the Nexans Executive Committee
- Promote the profile of the local Nexans business to local government, the community, industry, professional association and the media
- Direct and oversee the implementation of all Nexans policies, authorisations and
delegations
- Make sure that the company abides by the law. Ensure that all statutory and secretarial duties are fully complied with.
- Continuing sales / market share growth in the domestic market, and compliance with export targets set for the sub-area.
- Development and smooth operating of the factory
- Developing company structure and identity: setting up efficient and resilient management structure, and fostering staff motivation
