Harsco Environmental is the premier provider of material processing and environmental services to the global steel and metals industries. Our onsite mill services and resource recovery services offer sustainable solutions that maximize environmental benefit and return valuable raw material into production. We also have developed a range of by-products for specialized applications across industry, construction and agriculture, which utilize Harsco’s expertise in mineral materials.
Harsco Environmental will be responsible for the design installation, commissioning and putting into operation of the following key items of plant and equipment
Fixed plant
Civil Design and Installation for fixed plant
Equipment refurbishment, relocation and site installation where required
Organisation of competent contractors for plant Install both mechanical and electrical
Site Infrastructure where required
Utilities and necessary components to allow plant to operate
Job Description
The Project Managers role working closely with Harsco Central Engineering will cover the following disciplines:
Contract and Order Documentation
Site Survey and Preparation
Civil Design and Installation
Project approvals and permits
Regular call updates with Central Engineering
Project / Steering Team Meetings and presentations on a monthly basis
Contractor Meetings
Safety Meetings and close adherence to Harsco iCare principals
Ensuring compliance with Plant layout drawings
Organizing and ensuring adherence to all necessary Approvals for working in Abu Dhabi
Site Services
Monitoring of Standards and Quality of delivered and constructed equipment both local and international depending on chosen EPC suppliers
Order placement of all local services and site service contractors
Cost Control and Forecasting
Schedule planning and monitoring
Risk Management
Assisting in the Supervision of plant commissioning.
Plant Performance Tests
Trouble Shooting and upgrade modifications
Spares
The project assignment is envisaged to take about 06 to 12 months to implement from the commencement of duties. The Project manager will be responsible for liaising with local site operations, maintenance, safety, IT, Legal, and HR personnel. Reporting to Senior Harsco Metals Regional and Central management team as well as Engineering in the UK.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or similar field.
Sound knowledge of engineering theory and design criteria.
Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in engineering department of manufacturing or production services company, including responsibility for design, safety, performance, and economics of fixed facilities planning and development.
Strong analytical and technical skills.
Strong verbal and written communications skills, including demonstrated project management abilities and interpersonal skills.
