Pall ARABIA inaugurated the first manufacturing line in the Middle East for Pall, focusing on Liquid/Gas Coalescers. It is a key part of our localization strategy in Saudi Arabia and a part of our vision to make Pall Arabia the global center of excellence for Oil & Gas and Petrochemicals. The candidate will lead the direct manufacturing operations in terms of production, safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery to external customers with the intent of continuous improvement and leading results to achieve sustainable goals. The role will report to the MEA Service Support Manager and the Manufacturing Manager in Timonium on a functional basis. The role will be based in our new manufacturing center in the Dammam Industrial area.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Be the production person in charge of the manufacturing process and ensure that the production line/value stream meets external and internal customer requirements. Set up & sustain necessary standard work for all manufacturing activities, including progress tracking, budget consumption, VDM Board, etc. Supervise contract staff to achieve production lead time while maintaining high quality.
Ensure production line equipment, consumables & processes are followed to meet demand on time. Plan raw materials and processes to ensure production/service targets are met.
Track & maintain records of necessary spares & consumables for manufacturing and service activities and ensure timely re-ordering. Ensure the shipment goals, business goals, customer requirements, and production plans are achieved and that manufacturing capacity meets the sales plans
Application of DBS tools to all aspects of the Value Stream and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives, champion projects which increase the overall effectiveness.
Ensure building and property security is maintained & ensure a safe working environment exists consistent with OSHA and company policies and safety equipment is maintained and effectively used. Ensure prompt disposal of chemical waste generated and maintain up-to-date records of waste manifests for local authorities.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing line role, with experience with manufacturing planning/scheduling and lean manufacturing concepts
Leadership: Willingness to work on the shop floor and lead by example. Must be able to work independently with little supervision and direct work priorities of direct report supervisors and manufacturing associates
Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with others in the spirit of common objectives and listens to other points of view, and adherence and support differences of opinions
Planning and Execution: Excellent project management and prioritization skills. Solid business acumen. Able to deliver results despite shifting environment
Analytical Problem Solving: Able to identify problems; apply structured and disciplined methodology to identify root causes using data.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Solid experience using continuous improvement tools and methodologies
The Arabic language is preferred but not mandatory
Understanding of unit operations, process equipment, technology, knowledge of business systems, engineering, manufacturing, and financial systems
