About Role
As a Mechanical Supervisor at Vanderlande, your role centers on smoothly organizing the installation of mechanical equipment for material handling projects. You will lead, guide, and inspire your team, fostering a culture of safety and quality throughout the project. Your direct approach ensures progress, continuous improvement, and successful site handovers, making a tangible impact on our projects and team.
Responsibilities
Supervision:
Organize and supervise onsite installation activities of mechanical equipment for Vanderlande material handling projects in line with the project schedule and by following agreed sequence.
Contribute to creating project installation schedule and adhere to it to meet project timelines.
·Guidance:
Delegate responsibilities and provide clear instructions to the onsite installation team of subcontractors, ensuring that all installation work complies with quality standards and strictly adheres to Vanderlande processes.
·Safety Focus:
Create safe working environment by fostering a culture of safety among installations teams throughout the project execution.
Organize all HSE related activities on site.
·Surveying:
Conduct feasibility surveys for installation areas. Check readiness & facilities required for installation as a part of preparation for “Startup Installation.”
·Quality Control:
Leading by example, maintain a strong onsite presence through regular site walks and a thorough quality checks in alignment with Vanderlande standards.
·Reporting:
Monitor team's progress and regularly report on work progress to the site manager.
Ensure effective coordination with subcontractors and stakeholders.
·Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for improvement of site management process and support continuous enhancement efforts.
Assume responsibility for training new technicians to enhance their skills, fostering ongoing team improvement, and promoting the core value of "Everyday Better" through lessons learned.
·Support:
Organize and facilitate all support activities to ensure a smooth high-quality handover to commissioning and support commissioning & testing teams until handover to the customer.
Support site logistic management by organizing proper unloading and other related activities.

Defect List
Consulted in activities.
Commission Conveying
Commission Safety Span of Control
Create Installation Spare Parts ME
Create Site Management Plan
Make EM Documentation as built.
Pre-Commission Conveying Cabinet
Pre-Commission Safety
Pre-Commission Safety PLC – Cabinet
Desired Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in executing material handling projects/ leading Site installation teams for MHS.
In-depth knowledge of conveyor systems, their components, and mechanical equipment commonly used in material handling.
Ability to comprehend engineering drawings, specifications, layouts, and effectively interpret project and logistics schedules.
Experienced in proficiently troubleshooting and problem-solving to address any technical challenges during installation.
Experience in maintaining quality control during installation, ensuring systems operate efficiently and reliably.
The ability to conduct precise surveys of installation areas, assess readiness, and ensure accurate alignment and installation of conveyor systems based on survey data.
Hand on experience with AutoCAD, Navis and would be advantageous.

Travel:
This position may require travel to project sites as necessary for project execution and support.
