Job Summary
Action and supervise provision of a professional pre-litigation debt recovery for the clients of the firm across the Middle East and Africa Region and Globally when required through Clyde & Co office in Dubai.
Support the growth of the Debt Recovery practice in MEA by growing recoveries portfolio domestically and internationally.
Support the team in the MEA region to improve collections of debt reocevery cases from clients, through carrying out debt recovery procedures through pre-litigation manner, including debtors meetings, site visits, skip tracing, and ability to handle pressure in dealing with evasive, aggressive and deceptive debtors.
Responsibilities & Duties
Keep track of assigned cases to identify outstanding debts.
Plan course of action to recover outstanding payments.
Locate and contact debtors to inquire of their payment status.
Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans.
Drafting legal notices, agreements, demands, claim forms.
Handle questions or complaints, Investigate queries and resolve discrepancies.
Create trust relationships with debtors when possible to avoid future issues.
Constantly updating the clients on the developments of their cases.
Alert superiors of debtors unwilling or unable to pay when necessary.
Reviewing matter documentation (all aspects of documents) to assess issues, delivirables, disputes, risk and liability and judge recoverability.
Using knowledge and initiatives to reach amicable solutions to settling debts on behalf of the clients, taking into account circumstances of the matter and any risk possibility incurs.
Developing recovery strategy in collaborations with the Collection Manager for achieving recoveries.
Working on collection system.
Reliably flexible to commute.
Education, Qualifications & Training Requirements
Graduate of BSC Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
Must have at least 2 year experience in Accounts Receivables, Credit Control and Debt Recovery, preferably within the banking/professional services industry.
Compliant with relevant experience of recovery practice and Laws.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; multi-lingual is a must, Arabic is a plus.
Proactive approach and an ability to deal with exasperating debtors appropriately;
Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work with different proffesional levels and designations.
Strong commercial acumen.
