Job description

We are thus on the lookout for a colleague who can identify with Monjasa’s values and is capable of building strong relations both internally and externally.
As our new Controller, you will be part of a skilled team consisting of eleven colleagues of both Accountants and Controllers. The team attend to a broad variety of tasks. You will be strongly involved in various activities across the group, which will give you the opportunity to build a strong network globally and will reports directly to Finance Director MEA & Asia.
Your main responsibility will be financial controlling and it is important that you thrive in an ambitious environment, know the importance of meeting your deadlines and value close dialogues with your colleagues.
Areas of focus
Perform controlling and reviewing
Monthly and annual closing of numbers
Participate in cross functional projects.
Support strong key stakeholder management
Estimate as per the required timeline.
Preparation of Forecast and Budgets.
Data and cost controlling.
Ensuring legal and regulatory financial compliances
Audit co-ordination and finalization
Tax controlling including VAT fillings
Derivative as well as contract management (financial contracts) controlling
Your professional skills
Relevant financial education or similar position and/or as an auditor
Minimum 3 years of experience from a similar position
Experience from the shipping and/or real estate industry is an advantage
Experienced user of Microsoft Office.
Fluent in both written and verbal English
Your personal skills
Structured and detail oriented
Strong analytical mind-set
Pragmatic with a practical approach
Strong communicator at all organisational levels
