JOB SUMMARY
To operate as a Global Engineering Operation Optimization expert with the purpose to drive Manufacturing strategy for fostering continuous improvement in reducing operational risks, increasing revenue and optimizing cost across all SABIC sites worldwide, through:
• Expertise deployment for Operation Optimization solutions & improvements,
• Development and deployment of Operation Optimization world class practices and functional expertise,
• Identifying and implementing improvement opportunities through internal and external networks, systems, benchmarks and assessments,
• Networking & knowledge management and providing specialized training.
Job Purpose & Responsibilities
The tasks performed include the following activities:
- Identify, evaluate and recommend improvement needs for Operation Optimization safety aspects.
- Identify, evaluate, review, develop and deploy technical standards and best practices related to Operation Optimization.
- Identify, evaluate, develop and deploy technical global initiatives in Operation Optimization.
- Evaluate new Operation Optimization technologies and applications.
- Support manufacturing sites to resolve chronic failures/issues at sites globally.
- Support in technical audits/assessments/cold eye reviews and remaining life assessment initiatives.
- Engage with key OEMs to address design issues affecting asset reliability and to maintain knowledge of upcoming technological improvements.
- Monitor the market for new ideas, innovations and identify novel solutions for life cycle management of Operation Optimization.
- Lead and/or participate in technical networks, forums, conferences and committees.
- Develop and delivery of specialized, quality training to site engineers.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Master’s Degree in Engineering, with extended education and experience in the Operation Optimization expertise area.
15 Years’ experience.
Additional required qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in Petrochemical and Oil and Gas industry.
- Global expert on Operation Optimization as demonstrated by significant accomplishments and contributions acquired over a period of minimum 15 years,
- Experience areas shall include cost/benefit analysis, technical design, implementation, commissioning, start-up, maintenance, sustainability, trouble shooting, failure analyzing and overhaul dedicated to Operation Optimization systems, with proven experience on project execution, operation and maintenance of:
- Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES/MIS)
- Integration of Manufacturing Execution Systems with control systems
- Data reconciliation and accounting
- Production recording and tracking
- Manufacturing Optimization
- Detailed Production scheduling
- Asset Performance Management, application of Operational Equipment Effectiveness
- Transport and Loading scheduling
- Real-time and relational databases
- Industry Standards and Reference Models that describe the Manufacturing Domain (MESA, ISA S95)
