This is an opportunity to join myZoi as their Head of Human Resources. The role will be based in the UAE.
The Role Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Develop, review, and implement a strategic and effective People Agenda that is aligned with the long-term strategic business aspirations.
  • Grow a high performing HR function to meet the demands of a growing business
  • Ensure that the Human Resources plan, and strategies are effectively communicated and support the achievement of the business’s growth and objectives, and advocate thought leadership
  • Embed a high-performance culture that is aligned with an effective talent management approach, along with business strategies.

Business & Processes

  • Establish Resourcing and Total Reward strategies, and systems or processes that meet the needs of a fast-changing and talent driven business.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the business and financial agenda by leading organisational design, leadership and talent development, diversity, and inclusion, along with culture and valued behaviours.
  • Produce a compelling vision of the future of Digital and the translation into effective strategies and actions
  • Ensure all local process and policies are compliant with local legislation
  • Utilise tools such as engagement surveys to ensure leadership remains focused on retention and growth of our teams
  • Work with the management team to support the business achieve its objectives through the design and delivery of a people plan to build a strong culture
  • Provide advice and guidance on all People related matters
  • Provide independent advice to colleagues on HR related matters

Employee Relations

  • Handle employee queries, handle grievances and employee relations, to resolve workplace conflict and create team effectiveness
  • Coach and provide feedback to people leaders on people and team matters to proactively reach resolution before conflict exists

Talent & Performance Management

  • Understand the skills and competencies required to achieve future objectives
  • Work closely with the Management team and SC Ventures to understand hiring needs and ensure a smooth recruitment process that is quick to market
  • Support the company’s mission of being an employer of choice
  • Onboard / Offboard in collaboration with SC Ventures
  • Conduct HR orientation programme for new employees
  • Lead the connectivity of feedback from hiring, through to expectation and goal setting, to ongoing performance management through the people leaders of the business
  • Administer the offboarding process for departing employees including but not limited to conducting exit interview, ensure proper exit clearance etc.
  • Assist in market benchmarking of salary and benefit, to match internal jobs and job descriptions to similar jobs and descriptions in a salary survey or other source of market salary data, to identify the market salary for each position

Employee Engagement

  • Engage and build great relationships with employees to cultivate a positive work environment and develop greater value from the contributions of our employees.
  • Design and deliver employee engagement strategies to develop and retain talent
  • Implement a robust approach to succession planning with the Management team
  • Plan and execute communication to ensure updates / information is communicated to employees in real time
  • Encourage employees to express what they think, feel and experience. Gain feedback from employees via formal / informal communication channels: Townhalls, 1 on 1, skip levels etc.
  • Organise engagement/welfare program/events to enhance team building spirit
  • Periodically update the ground’s movement and provide feedback to foster positive employer-employee relationships
  • Plan, conduct and administer employee engagement survey
  • Build an employer branding strategy to attract diverse potential candidates whose knowledge and skills are needed to meet the company’s goals and objectives

Learning & Development

  • Review training needs analysis, goals and people priorities with the Management team
  • Improve employee performance, building competencies and confidence at work by exploring various ways of training through internal / external workshops, seminars, projects, on the job training etc.
  • Develop company-wide Mentoring and Coaching programmes
  • Ensure mandatory training is accessible and being tracked/completed in support of Compliance policy through the Saba microsite

People Risk Management & Controls

  • Participate and contribute towards implementation of HR & Operations projects and initiatives, including revision of HR policies, approaches, process automation etc.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry of employee’s record in HR system
  • Manage / Oversee the payroll

Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead the Venture HR team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • 10+ years of experience in a senior level corporate role within Human Resources
  • A proven track record in helping businesses to deliver operational plans to time and within budget through appropriate staffing, budget, and resource management
  • Up to date knowledge of employment laws and best practice in the UAE.
