Summary
Senior Management position responsible for the procurement operations for Direct Spend and Indirect Spend in AME.
Responsibility for
1) Direct Materials Negotiation and Productivity drive for AME (Global vs Local, leverage with global portfolio).
2) Manage the Indirect Supply Spend,
3) Interface with senior stakeholders within the business.
The position requires an experienced manager who can navigate different types of spend and interface and build sustainable relations with several different stakeholders and manage a high level of ambiguity in requirements and priorities.
The position also requires a high level of maturity, autonomy, ownership to ensure performance against KPI's.
Scope
The role has full responsibility for factory management of procurement in AME and networking with Global and other Regional Procurement organisations.
The position is responsible for the development and maintenance of a supplier base that can generate competitive advantage for the business. Key focus for the role is optimization and efficiency improvements including, cost, quality & service, innovation, speed to market, fast roll-out and net working capital improvements.
Ensuring deep market/commodity analysis and forecasting, leading the annual budgeting process etc are key responsibilities of the position.
The role encompasses top level relationship/networking with other functions such as R&D, Marketing, Finance, Regional Supply and Regional/Country Management.
Manage (prioritize, coach, guide, assist) the buyers on their activities related to the management of Raw and Pack Materials projects in the factories.
Lead the Factory Buyers in developing and implementing Indirect Procurement Supply Spend initiatives in their respective factories for sourcing of services and products for the factories in the region. Co-ordinate across-factories the Indirect Procurement Supply strategies and initiatives. Focus on common and addressable spend that can be leveraged across AME.
Drive procurement process improvement across the region and between the global procurement organization and the factories.
Establish clear and efficient roles&responsibilities process between Procurement and factories related to management of supply chain continuity (escalation process, RACI etc) and harmonize reportings amongst the 4 sites.
Responsabilities
Lead the Factory buyers in implementing Raw Materials and Packaging Materials sourcing strategies in their respective factories
Lead the Factory Buyers in developing and implementing Indirect Procurement Supply Spend initiatives in their respective factories
Regularly interact with senior budget holders, to ensure that priorities and objectives are aligned with the organization.
Provide guidance and assistance to team members in the execution of their projects, including facilitation with other divisions/departments when necessary.
Further develop team members abilities by identifying opportunities for improvement and developing and implementing plans to take advantage of those opportunities.
Support team members in developing their overall procurement skills
Participate in negotiations and supplier presentations, as needed to meet tactical and/or strategic plans. Take the lead when required
Facilitate information and idea exchange with other areas of the organization.
Lead teams that work on specific projects identified as important to the business.
Perform counseling, appraisal, performance review and salary review of team members, to further develop their performance.
Review and approve contracts developed by team members and note improvements or changes as necessary.
