VMware is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and is looking for a world class candidate for an exciting new role as EMEA Modern Applications Partner Sales Manager. This is often voiced as an ‘application modernization’ or ‘digital transformation’ initiative within our clients. Our studies have shown that 91% of executives see app modernization and migration as a major initiative over the coming years, with Modern Apps on a steep growth curve, surpassing traditional apps by 2024.
As EMEA Modern Apps Partner Sales Manager, you will have a unique opportunity to build Tanzu partner practices, drive partner-led sales and services, and deliver customer outcomes in app modernization and cloud through our priority Americas partners,
Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
Identify partners to launch new Tanzu partner practices and enable these partners on how to sell Tanzu solutions, deliver pre- and post-sales services, and expand the VMware portfolio within their customer base
Regular forecasting, tracking, and reporting on the health of partner-led business and results in close alignment to the Director of EMEA Modern Apps Partner Sales
Establish advisory relationships with Sales, Business Unit, Americas Partner Organization, Executive leaders, program sponsors and key customers
Provide clear, concise, and insightful communication to the team, executives, and a diverse set of stakeholders
What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
2-3 years of experience in a technology capacity with a concentration in partner ecosystems & channel sales
Experience working in a cross functional & highly matrixed organization.
Experience in the execution of partner GTM programs, especially in support of Cloud Solution Providers, Managed Services Providers, and Regional SI’s, and supporting teaming efforts with partners that include resell, services, sell-with and sell-through partner motions
Ability to travel as needed, expected 15%.

The manager for this position is the Director of EMEA Modern Apps Partner Sales, who is a proven leader of high performing partner sales teams. As an EMEA Modern Apps Partner Sales Manager, you will join a diverse team responsible for all Tanzu partner programs, sales, services, and RTM. There is a strong focus on team objectives and key results (OKRs) and commitment to partner and customer success. The team culture is one built on VMware’s EPIC2 Values – Execution, Passion, Integrity, Customer, and Community.
Where is this role located?
Remote: this role is fully remote and can be done anywhere. There is an expectation of face to face engagement with your top regional partners.
