About the role:
You would be responsible and accountable for Accounts receivables of QE Sales Team in line with QR policies and internal Accounting procedures.
Coordinating with QE Sales Team to get required documents for New customer creation/Amendments
Monitoring Bank accounts, Booking receipts on daily basis and confirming to QE sales Team receipt of payment before charter flights.
Processing refunds for cancelled Charter flights as approved.
Reconciling charter flights reports to ensure 100% billing and ensure all incidental billings are captured.
Coordinating with both Internal and External Auditors to provide requested information for QE AR audits.
Accountable for Accounts receivables of QE in line with QR policies, SOPs and IAPs.
Ensure Month end and Year end closing of AR is done accurately in compliance to QR Finance policies, IAPs and SOPs.
Identify Internal Control weaknesses within QE AR processes and recommendation of action to mitigate risks and safeguard QE interests.
Manage timely and accurate billing of Invoices, raising Credits notes for all customers or scheduled billings to ensure timely collections as per agreed Credit periods.
Review AR MIS reports for management and make sure it is complete, accurate and submit with suggested actions to close open items.
All outstanding amounts must be recovered timely basis based on Credit period agreed. Recovery should be made in full by adjusting / deducting it from our payables if same customer is our vendor or service provider. Follow-ups be done through Business for Outstanding debts.
Keep a close watch on AR control accounts and ensure AR Aging matches with the control accounts.
Plan and conduct self-checks/audits, submit results and highlight action plan to Manager Finance – AR
Prepare and provide reports/data requested by management and auditors on adhoc basis when requested.
Develop strong communication and interaction with all other Stakeholders within Finance, Stations and Business to assist in resolving open items in Customer accounts
Produce and deliver exceptions, clean AR report with meaningful remarks to Manager Finance – AR for review and assisting to close open items
Any Other duties as may be assigned by Management on adhoc basis

Qualifications
About you:
Accounting experience of 3 years in airlines with at least 2 years in similar capacity.
Has a good exposure in similar position working various teams in Business to support them
Proficient with spread sheets on Excel, pivot tables, graphs using different tools.
Strong aviation specific profile in either Expenditure or Revenue Accounting.
Should be able to analyse and explain financial accounts / Management accounts to Finance and non-Finance audiences.
Strong mentoring , coaching skills, Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor's level
Preferred
Post Graduate Degree or Diploma.
With a professional accounting certificate like CIMA/ACCA/CA/ICWA or MBA Finance from a reputed institute or university.
