Purpose

You will provide mechanical engineering services to Worley and its customers, including technical support and supervision within the mechanical engineering team.

 

Responsibilities 
  • Deliver mechanical engineering services that meet Worley', its customers' and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
  • Initiate, manage and if required supervise mechanical engineering project requirements.
  • Perform mechanical engineering services such as:
    • participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures;
    • ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes;
    • provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities.  For example, write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations and write purchase orders. 
  • If required, act as the mechanical engineering Lead on specific projects.
  • If responsible for a team:
    • outline project requirements including actively promoting workshare, where appropriate, assign tasks and supervise progress;and
    • ensure the required services meet Worley,its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, on time and within budget. 
  • Proactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and its Customer's requirements.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in mechanical engineering.
  • If required, assist and support junior personnel within the mechanical engineering team.
  • Communicate effectively with the mechanical engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer.
  • Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
What you will bring
 
Technical and Industry Experience  
  • Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers.
  • A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the mechanical engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
  • A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Competent use of mechanical engineering specific software.
  • Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
  • Substantial technical land practical experience in mechanical engineering in the same or similar industry including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams. 
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training
 
Required:
  • A recognised and relevant engineering degree.
Preferred:
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications in engineering, management, project management or supervisory qualifications or equivalent.

Commercial Quality Engineer - EMEA, Johnson & Johnson, Dubai, UAE

 Commercial Quality Engineering will provide support to multiple regional (EMEA) Emerging Markets Vision Care & Surgical Vision Marketing Companies.

The EMEA Regional and Global Commercial Quality groups provide support and guidance to all relevant Marketing Companies in the design of, and subsequent compliance with applicable Quality Systems and processes.

The responsibilities & the impact YOU will have:

  • Participate as a member of the QA team to drive activities of the JJV EMEA Marketing Companies compliance with J&J Quality Policy (TV-QPOL-00001) requirements and Emerging Regulations
  • Support QMS Risk Management activities within the JJV EMEA Marketing Companies. Provide guidance on format / content of any required local procedures. Advise on local facility /process/ documentation requirements as appropriate
  • Provide continuous re-enforcement and training of the respective requirements for medical device regulations and standards and J&J requirements to associates on site, including management. Support the business (line managers) creating training matrices for employees based on their job.
  • Provide technical support as required to JJV EMEA Marketing Companies and execute internal Quality Audits of the JJV EMEA Marketing Companies according to schedule. Ensure CAPA’s within the JJV EMEA Marketing Companies are appropriately documented, monitored and associated metrics are accurately reported. Tracking of quality metric information and reports at the JJV EMEA Marketing Companies. Ensure regional level trend analysis and management review of quality metric information. Prepare the JJV EMEA Marketing Companies for JJRC Audits, help them, during the audits and support any JJRC Audit observation corrective actions and remediation.
  • Provide advice on quality related issues. When necessary, escalate quality / compliance issues per Vision procedures.
  • Ensure appropriate application and compliance of site systems with franchise policies and procedures.
  • Support Quality improvement projects within the JJV EMEA Marketing Companies. Work with JJV EMEA Marketing Companies to ensure any value-added services are controlled appropriately
  • Conduct supplier/Distributor assessments / audits as required. Put required Supplier /Distributor Agreements and compliance in place (both internal & external). Supplier/Distributor quality performance management. Supplier evaluation.
  • Participate to Industry Association / Working Groups where present, to anticipate, analyse current/emerging regulations/trends that impact Quality System as appropriate.

Qualifications

We would love to hear from YOU, if you have:

  • Previous experience in a Quality / Regulatory Role is essential.
  • It is preferred that this experience includes 2+ year in Quality Engineering Role within a Medical Device or other GMP controlled environment.
  • It is preferred to hold a further qualification in an Engineering/Science/Technical discipline.
  • It is preferred that the job holder is an experienced internal auditor or certified lead auditor.
  • The job holder is expected to be capable of planning their daily workload with minimal input.
  • This role demands regular liaison with all relevant marketing companies and their management teams, in addition to close interface with both Global and Regional Quality functions.
  • Frequent interface with Regulatory Affairs, Healthcare Compliance and Professional and Medical Affairs groups.
  • The Job Holder will have the necessary independence, authority and responsibility to initiate action to prevent nonconformities, enact remediation plans, identify and document quality problems, initiate, recommend, provide and verify solutions to quality problems and direct or control further processing and delivery of nonconforming product.
  • Ensuring consistent application of relevant internal standards and processes across the business without compromising customer expectations.

Food Service sits as a key strategic growth platform for Kerry Group, significantly impacting our business and helping us deliver our strategy and vision. You will be responsible for driving growth through the marketing deliverables across Middle East and Africa Foodservice Customers whilst working in alignment with the Food Services General Manager (GM), and the wider Food Service commercial team.

 

This role will develop relevant and proactive insights, Lead marketing initiatives and execute the foodservice business plan across the Middle East and Africa (MEA), focusing 70% on our culinary brands business and 30% on our global and regional chains customers. You will partner with the teams to ensure best in class customer engagement.  You will be adept at harvesting insights to create a clearly defined go-to-market plan aligned to business strategy and growth opportunities
 

Key responsibilities

 

Strategy/ Opportunity management / Customer Management

 

•    Own the develop and execute a localized MEA foodservice plan for our Chef’s Palette culinary brand
•    Support with execution of Best-in-class customer engagement experience
•    Support the opportunity pipeline for both new and existing customers, aligning and prioritizing to strategic focus and plans.
•    Review success of marketing activation plans for FS across MEA against key KPIs.
•    Drive demand creation and performance aligned to account plans.
 

Consumer Insights

 

•    Stay well-informed of changes in competitive landscape and to enable design differentiated strategies and positioning
•    Develop and own a comprehensive understanding of current channel / dynamics, consumer trends, key customers positions and strategies, etc.
•    Partner with regional insights team to deliver compelling proprietary market and consumer insights that drive and support channel / Sub-Region strategic commercial decisions
•    Use data to assess success of previous campaigns/ initiatives and recommend corrective action where necessary

 

Qualifications and skills

 

•    Bachelor’s Degree, with minimum 5 years of experience in FMCG/ Food & Beverage marketing/ product management in a multi-national company (MNC) environment.
•    Excellent presentation and communications skills
•    Strong analytical skills analyzing consumer / marketing / sales data - Ability to anticipate customer (internal and external) needs
•    Strong project time management skills (i.e ability to manage multiple details and deadlines in a matrix organizations)
