Job Title PV Site Technician (O&M)
 

Job Purpose The Photo Voltaic Site Technician is responsible for the on-site daily activities related to the operation
and maintenance of the PV Plant, supporting the PV Engineer.

Education and
Experience
• Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical subjects or equivalent
• Proven track record in electro-mechanical works
 

Knowledge
and Expertise
• Execution of the preventative and corrective electro-mechanical site issues on a daily basis
• Very good understanding of electrical and mechanical design and resolution of the related
technical issues
• Troubleshooting and resolution of the on-site electro-mechanical technical problems
related to the PV plants
• HSE conversant
• Able to communicate effectively in English
• Previous experience in the Middle East is advantageous

Duties and
responsibilities
• Execution of the preventative and corrective electro-mechanical site issues on a daily basis
• Troubleshooting and resolution of the onsite technical problems related to the PV plant
supporting the PV Engineer on a daily basis
• Ensure all plant equipment and systems are functioning in a way to achieve best in class
performance at all time
• Provide all regular and extraordinary reports as required and requested from time to time
• Demonstrate excellent conduct
 

General
• The jobholder shall be medically fit to undertake the full duties of the post
• The jobholder shall be prepared to work in a remote area, self-motivated
• Maintain a strong work ethics and promote a culture of compliance and continuous
improvement within the company

 

Salary Qr. 2,000.00

Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work as the Scaffolding Subject Matter Expert for the PMC consultant on a giga project. You will undertake the following duties:

• Advise the client, PMC, main contractors and subcontractors on all scaffolding and falsework matters.

• Develop standards and procedures for scaffolding and falsework on the program and across all projects e.g., material quality, material acceptance, design, and installation.

• Review and approve main contractor scaffolding management plans.

• Review with engineering and temporary works team all scaffolding method statements and designs.

• Provide technical guidance and solutions for more complex scaffolds to all stakeholders

• Review and approve main contractor scaffolding key personnel.

• Advise all stakeholders on the resources required to execute scaffolding and falseworks works safely.

• Audit and inspect scaffolding and falsework management and installation by contractors.

• Develop and deliver training and competency assessments where required.

• Promote HSE while maintaining the standards of safety and quality defined in the company procedures.

• Monitor productivity and schedule performance and investigate reasons for less than satisfactory performance.

• Be pro-active in the approach to health and safety issues.

• Ensure when working at height that all employees are trained and competent in the use of all fall arrest equipment to maintain 100% tie off capability.

• Participate in TBT and all Safety Stand Downs.

• Ensure employee compliance with Company HSE Polices, Philosophy and Procedures.

• Actively participate in scaffolding related incident investigations.

Experience and Qualification:

• Certificate/Diploma (min Level 3) qualification in a related discipline, Certified Scaffolder with minimum 15 years demonstrable experience, 5 of which must have been as a manager on large scale construction projects. Essential

• Advanced Scaffolder Certified – Preferrable

• Must demonstrate experience of working with complex scaffolds, scaffold design and management

• Must demonstrate knowledge of SH&E regulations, requirements for construction projects and awareness of all hazards likely to existing construction sites

• Must demonstrate appropriate ongoing Continued Professional Development

• Proactive acumen and an ability to manage multiple working areas on site are essential

As a QHSE Engineer you will be responsible for coordinating Quality & Safety related activities / initiatives. You will apply safety & quality tools and work closely with various teams to improve and optimize the processes related to Performance. You will also support ISO9001 Quality Management System, Safety certifications ISO 45001, 18001 and will manage projects to improve it. You will have close interaction with other MEA Measurement Solutions functions, especially with Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Care, Sales, Marketing, Finance, etc.

This position supports the Measurement Solutions, MEA and is based in Dubai, UAE.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and Develop QMS for continuous improvement in Quality performance
• Plan and execute various Quality initiatives identified in the MEA Strategic objectives
• Harmonize and align the MSOL Quality processes and activities within MEA per the global Quality Management system 
• Collaborate with various functions to identify, share, and implement best practices and lessons learned from Global/MEA Quality communications
• Support to plan, conduct and monitor Audits & related action items
• Support in implementation and maintenance of Quality Management System in MEA
• Prepare regular reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
• Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system
• Take ownership of Company’s Safety, Quality Policy, Core and Operating Values
• Plan and execute various Safety programs identified in the MEA ESH Strategic objective
• Harmonize and align the MSOL ESH processes and activities with MEA AutoSol ESH Management system 
• Act as the focal point for all safety related internal & external audits to ensure audits are conducted in a timely manner and RCA & Corrective actions are closed effectively
• Recommend equipment, process, and procedural changes to minimize and/or eliminate workplace hazards identified and recorded in Velocity EHS
• Review and prevent environmental impact and implement Emerson environmental principles
• Ensure incident investigations and analysis are carried out in a timely manner and communicated in accordance with Emerson Global Safety Standards
• Organize and participate in Site Safety Walks and ensure findings are closed in a timely manner
• Prepare, Review and Train on Risk Assessments/JSA
• Attend Global & World Area Calls
• Ensure all MEA HSE documents are updated and communicated as needed
• Deliver HSE Trainings (Local & Global)

 Principal Accountabilities:

•    Focal point for customer’s shipping requests for land, sea and air freight. Coordinate with internal operations on all shipping requests.

•    3-5 years’ experience in Freight Forwarding / Freight in general - mandatory experience 
•    2-5 years’ experience of Customer Service preferably handling key business clients 
•    Good product knowledge (land, sea and air freight) 
•    Working knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) 
•    Commercial acumen to drive sales 
•    Ability to handle challenging situation in a composed manner 
•    Excellent English Verbal & Written skills
