Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work as the Scaffolding Subject Matter Expert for the PMC consultant on a giga project. You will undertake the following duties:

• Advise the client, PMC, main contractors and subcontractors on all scaffolding and falsework matters.

• Develop standards and procedures for scaffolding and falsework on the program and across all projects e.g., material quality, material acceptance, design, and installation.

• Review and approve main contractor scaffolding management plans.

• Review with engineering and temporary works team all scaffolding method statements and designs.

• Provide technical guidance and solutions for more complex scaffolds to all stakeholders

• Review and approve main contractor scaffolding key personnel.

• Advise all stakeholders on the resources required to execute scaffolding and falseworks works safely.

• Audit and inspect scaffolding and falsework management and installation by contractors.

• Develop and deliver training and competency assessments where required.

• Promote HSE while maintaining the standards of safety and quality defined in the company procedures.

• Monitor productivity and schedule performance and investigate reasons for less than satisfactory performance.

• Be pro-active in the approach to health and safety issues.

• Ensure when working at height that all employees are trained and competent in the use of all fall arrest equipment to maintain 100% tie off capability.

• Participate in TBT and all Safety Stand Downs.

• Ensure employee compliance with Company HSE Polices, Philosophy and Procedures.

• Actively participate in scaffolding related incident investigations.

Experience and Qualification:

• Certificate/Diploma (min Level 3) qualification in a related discipline, Certified Scaffolder with minimum 15 years demonstrable experience, 5 of which must have been as a manager on large scale construction projects. Essential

• Advanced Scaffolder Certified – Preferrable

• Must demonstrate experience of working with complex scaffolds, scaffold design and management

• Must demonstrate knowledge of SH&E regulations, requirements for construction projects and awareness of all hazards likely to existing construction sites

• Must demonstrate appropriate ongoing Continued Professional Development

• Proactive acumen and an ability to manage multiple working areas on site are essential
