IFF is growing and we are looking for a Key Account Manager (Flavors) based in Lagos, Nigeria to join our business. We’re looking for an experienced candidate who has a proven industry record of accomplishment.
Where You’ll Make a Difference:
- Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) of local customers within the area. Understand customer strategy, organization, and products.
- Deeply understand and leverage internationally IFF’s organization, capabilities, proprietary technologies, resources, product and service offerings.
- Position IFF as a strategic trusted partner by co-creating winning value propositions that satisfy customer needs.
- Be the face of IFF – act as primary contact for customers in the region. Develop deep customer relationships at all levels, through intensive networking and providing best in class customer experience.
- Work with cross functional and cultural teams through complex, technically challenging projects.
- Identify/create new business opportunities for IFF in the area, develop and execute plans to generate project pipeline and new sales.
- Keep close contact to all internal stakeholders like e.g., Innovation, Creation & Design, Marketing and Business Units on relevant projects, pricing, market developments etc.
What Makes You The Right Fit
- Experience in food ingredients business with desired knowledge on Flavors and Flavor sales.
- Structed approach to customers
- Degree in Business or Food Technology / Food Engineering preferred.
- Fluent in English language skills.
- Minimum 2-3 years of working experience within Food Ingredients & Flavors business.
- Located and experienced with the Nigerian Food/Flavor market would be of benefit.
- Demonstrated business and commercial acumen.
- Well-developed set of selling and account management skills, ability to adapt working style across the customer base.
- Well-developed negotiations skills.
- Proven project management skills where full ownership of driving new business opportunities is clearly demonstrated by coordinating all team members to achieve business objectives.
