Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in construction to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the installation of electrical systems on construction projects. This role requires a professional with excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
Electrical Design and Development
- Create detailed electrical designs and specifications for construction projects.
- Develop electrical schematics, blueprints, and layout drawings using CAD software.
- Perform electrical load calculations and design power distribution systems.
Project Planning and Management
- Assist in the planning and scheduling of electrical engineering tasks and projects.
- Ensure that all electrical work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, architects, and construction teams to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
Construction Oversight
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems on construction sites.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any electrical issues that arise during construction.
Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and progress reports.
- Develop and submit necessary documentation for regulatory approvals and permits.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project status to senior management and stakeholders.
Quality Control and Safety
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures for electrical installations.
- Ensure adherence to all safety guidelines and protocols during construction activities.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections on site.
Client and Stakeholder Coordination
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
- Attend project meetings and provide technical input and support as needed.
- Address client concerns and provide technical solutions to meet their needs.
Continuous Improvement
Employees are expected to actively participate in the company’s continuous improvement initiatives, contributing ideas, identifying opportunities for enhancement, and supporting efforts to streamline processes. Working Relationship
Internal: C3 Group as applicable
External: Suppliers / Subcontractors as applicable, Operator / End User as applicable, Auditors
Position Requirements
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically within the construction industry.
Skills
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong project management abilities, including the use of project management software (e.g., MS Project).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to travel to various project sites as required
