We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Financial Controller who has a good business sensibility, knowledge in finance control, establishing forecasted P&L and following up actual results.
Your Role
As a Senior Financial Controller, you will play a key role in forecasting the financial performance of all EDITEC operations, while overseeing the auditing and compliance procedures. You will be a self-starter, accustomed to working with autonomy, leading and delivering high-quality, value-add assignments on time and influencing stakeholders with credibility.
Your Team
The Senior Financial Controller will work closely with the Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) in each prospective country with the guidance of the Head of Administration, Audit and Compliance based in our Dubai, UAE, as well as, the group CFO based in London, UK.
Responsibilities
Plan and oversee the auditing process, present audit findings, and find ways to increase compliance and efficiency.
Perform effective risk and control assessments, and review team members’ work for accuracy and compliance.
Coordinate periodical audits, complete audits on time and submit reports to auditing manager.
Analyse monthly financial performance and translate it effectively for teams to understand key drivers, identify opportunities and exploit trends.
Develop detailed planning models to help the business forecast specific investment costs.
Collaborate with the CFOs in our operations to provide better control and management of running costs.
Implement account follow up of the divisions and cash flow management.
Ensure compliance with the business processes and identify key controls and risks.
Identify gaps and weaknesses and address them quickly.
Conduct control testing and evaluation for key process controls.
Assume and perform/responsibilities as assigned.
About You
Internationally recognized degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field, OR a professional certification (ACCA, CMA, CPA or equivalent).
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a financial controller/auditor in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Skills
Advanced expertise with Tally, or Sage Accounting Software (incl. Data-Import), or other relevant accounting software.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel with hands on experience on VLOOKUP, Formulas, Pivot Tables etc.
Knowledge of retail, online or gaming industry
Financial reporting and IFRS knowledge.
Soft Skills
Confident in decision-making.
Management and leadership skills.
Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Highly organized and detail oriented.
Ability to manage personnel and foster teamwork.
Integrity and reliability.
Fluency in French is a MUST.
