JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Bid Manager
Location: Dubai
Reporting To VP Sales M/E / Director of Projects & Contracts

Working within our Sales Team, the role is to support the end-end end process of Contract & Project bid submission.
The key target opportunities are within OEM, MRO and Electrical Bulks, but will not be limited to these
Main responsibilities / Key goals
· Ascertain and develop engagement with the best suppliers in terms of value, quality, service and overall terms and conditions
· In conjunction with the prior activity, establish preferential support from Global & strategic vendors, who WESCO - Anixter have very strong relationships with, but mainly outside of the Middle East
· Aligned with the prior 2 points, build and maintain supplier relationships including the provision of frequent and structured feedback
· Liaise with Category Management, Inventory Management and other internal departments where necessary
· Format and issue invitations to bid to prospective suppliers
· Evaluate offers and make recommendations based on commercial and technical factors, with the final proposal being decided in conjunction with our sales leaders
· Prepare the full customer facing quotation, with all support documentation as required, by the specified deadline
· Provide full support for post-bid activities
· Upon successful order conversion, provide required handover to all stakeholders whom will have the next actions
· Also additional ownership and management of select key strategic accounts and projects.

· Microsoft Office - Excel / Access / PowerPoint / Outlook / Teams
· SharePoint
Necessary skills, knowledge and experience
· At least 2-3 years’ sourcing / procurement experience in a relevant industry
· Experience of technical sourcing
· Excellent numerical and analytical skills
· High attention to detail and able to prioritise effectively
· Good communication and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work on own initiative and as part of an extended team
· Ability to work to tight deadlines
· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while being flexible, adaptable and responsive to shifting priorities
