- Key Duties and Responsibilities

Engaging in the planning, development and implementation of projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders that fosters innovation and adoption of appropriate technology relating to an ecological production approach to livestock (including sheep, goats, camels, poultry, fish and bees) in the biodiverse agricultural landscapes of AlUla.

Collaborating in the capacity development of livestock farming and value chain stakeholders through the development of policies, regulations, strategies, resources and initiatives relating to extension, advisory services, pilot farms and training programs.

Engaging in the development and leading the projects that delivered by external partners relating to livestock systems within the small-holder farms in the traditional oasis, commercial agriculture farms and rangelands of AlUla County.

Collaborating in the development of a network of research and trials with external national and international stakeholders relating to knowledge building and adoption of innovation relevant to improvement of livestock production within the oasis farming systems for traditional landscape restoration and commercial agriculture in AlUla.

Develop a sustainable agriculture industry for AlUla.

Lead the management of the livestock sector in collaboration with RCU and external stakeholders in the planning, development and implementation of agriculture sector initiatives relating to the improvement of animal health, nutrition, breeding, livestock management systems and value chains to achieve market oriented, ecologically sustainable livestock farming.
