Job Description

The Dive Operations Specialist is responsible in delivering an excellent guests experience by maintaining the professional appearance and cleanliness of the aquariums/animal habitats. Also, ensuring the health and safety of animals, guests and colleagues. This position acts as Designated Person in Charge (DPIC). The DPIC is the trained individual responsible for the actual diving operation for a particular dive or series of dives.

This position requires standing in a prolonged period; moves/lifts up to 45kgs of load, and in confined spaces. This position also requires to work in varying shifts based on business need. This includes: opening, mid, and closing shifts, nights, weekends and holidays.

• Maintains cleanliness, integrity and appearance of exhibits, underwater facilities throughout the park, including decretive and holding pools
• Ensures that all dive operations safety measures are followed at all times
• Authorizes and has the responsibility to discontinue diving operations when any condition occurs that may endanger the diver or dive team. Diving operations shall not be conducted without the presence of the DPIC  
• Maintains rescue skill competency and basic life support skill competency at “test ready” levels at all times
• Completes the accurate daily dive logs and records
• Ensures that all diving equipment and materials are ready prior to park operations and safely stored after park’s closing
• Reports to the leadership the status of inventory that is used for diving operations
• Maintains professional development on all OSHMS (Occupational Safety and Health Management System) dive regulations
• Completes all trainings that are required by the department and facilities
• Utilizes safe handling, storage and disposal practices for toxic substances and hazardous waste in accordance with company policies
• Participates in dive emergency exercises
• Assists other Zoological team on underwater equipment as necessary

Performs other duties assigned by the leadership.

Essential:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• SCUBA/ Rescue  Diver Certified or equivalent
• Enriched Air or Nitrox Diver certified
• CPR and First Aid certified and Oxygen Provider
• 2 year diving experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 40 logged open water dives within the last 2 years
• Basic English communication skills, written/verbal
• Excellent diving and in-water rescue skills
• Able to swim 200meters nonstop and 15minutes float
• Basic mathematical skills

Desirable:

• Divemaster or equivalent
• Previous diving experience in a Theme Park or related set-up
• Basic computer knowledge including MS Office

Job Description

An amazing opportunity is now available with SeaWorld Abu Dhabi team.

In this role, you will ensure smooth and efficient operations of the SeaWorld Abu Dhabi facilities in Zoological Department by safely fulfilling the duties in animal/guest interactions, husbandry, enrichment, general public presentations, and research.

The job scope also includes: 

• Performs daily husbandry tasks including administration of vitamins and medication as directed
• Prepares food, provides proper nutrition and constant care of animals
• Maintains a safe, appropriate and sanitary living conditions for all animal habitats
• Learns behavior modification techniques under the supervision of more experienced colleagues. This includes but is not limited to the training of behaviors to completion, proactively maintaining conditioned behavior, and the ability to form relationships with assigned animals.
• Ensures guests, personal, and animals’ safety through constant monitoring of the behavioral precursors of potentially harmful behavior by both animals and people.
• Provides proactive guest services through guest interactions, animal presentation and programs in the assigned area, and responding to guest inquiries.
• Performs assigned roles in education and general public programs, and guest interaction programs
• Makes daily observations of animals and reports any abnormalities to the leadership team
• Maintains all animal records, equipment, area responsibilities, and communication requirements on a daily basis
• Functions as Ambassador by displaying consideration, tolerance, cooperation, open communication, and reliability; maintains a consistent attitude, motivation, and ability to accept feedback
• Ensures all policies, guidelines, manuals and SOPs are followed at all times
• Consistently practices safe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting and reporting of unsafe situations
• Participates on the required trainings and maintains profession development and competencies
• Performs other duties as directed by the leadership

To be considered for this role, you will need to have: 

• High School diploma and/or degree in Psychology, Zoology or Biology or equivalent
• 1 year of relatable animal experience in a professional setting
• Good communication skills in English, verbal and written
• Excellent swimming and diving skills
• Basic mathematical skill
• Basic computer knowledge including MS Office and animal recording system
• Ability to successfully pass an area swim test within the first 60 days of hire or holding a Certification in Open Water SCUBA

We’re searching for an Executive Editor, Middle East & Africa who will be the ambassador for Bloomberg Media Studios in Dubai. This Executive Editor will be a proven creative leader who can work closely with clients to develop and present creative content solutions, build, and lead a creative team with high-level video and design capabilities, leverage relationships to build creative partnerships in the Middle East and Africa, and create buzz in the region about Bloomberg Media Studios and our work for clients.

As the leader of Bloomberg Media Studios’ Middle East & Africa editorial team, the Executive Editor will build and lead a creative studio that includes full-time staff with design and video leads. The Executive Editor will augment that team with a talented and diverse group of freelancers and vendors that can contribute to ideation as well as execution of projects. The Middle East & Africa Studio will serve many different markets, and the Executive Editor is responsible for developing relationships with on-the-ground talent in each and every market.

•  Proven skills in presenting, client partnership and visual communication
