What you will be doing:

  • To undertake full responsibility of the security officers for supervising and to enforce security policies and procedures in accordance with Novotel guidelines and ensure compliance to all local regulations.
  • To develop and train hotel talents in firefighting, fire evacuation as per local civil defence.
  • To investigate, review and follow up of all incidents, loss and accidents reports.
  • Ensures for the availability, continuity and security of data and information pertaining to the organization.
  • Respects confidentiality in discussing talents and organizational matters; also maintains confidentiality of organization and personnel related information.

Your experience and skills include:

  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
  • With minimum of 2 years’ experience preferably with a hotel security.

Job Description

Safety and Security Supervisor is responsible to protect and safeguard all hotel guests, employees, their belongings and all hotel assets under the guidance of the Chief Security Officer. The position assists in coordinating the Security operations of the hotel in line with the
company standards to ensure maximum efficiency and guest satisfaction. The Key Duties and Responsibilities are as follows:

➢ Follow all security department policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality of reports/documents, release information only to authorized individuals.
➢ Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions and alarm systems.
➢ Authorize, monitor, and document access to secured areas.
➢ Assist guests and employees during emergency situations.
➢ Patrol all areas of the property; secure rooms; assist guests with room access as necessary.

➢ Conduct emergency response drills, daily physical hazard/safety inspections, investigations, interviews, security grooming and key control audit.
➢ Ensure security guards documents are up to date I.e., SIRA ID, EDI, VISA.
➢ Maintain proper and accurate records of all documents to include Security Log, Incident Report, Key Control, Lost and Found and Visitor Passes.
➢ Continuously maintain and service all equipment related or assigned to the security department, as specified in equipment manuals.
➢ Respond to any changes in the Security Department functions as dictated by the Hotel.
➢ Defuse disturbances in accordance with the Company policies and procedures. Resolve safety hazard situations.
➢ Handle all interruptions and complaints. Escort unwelcome persons from the property.
➢ Continuously monitor installed safety systems for emergency readiness and to patrol public areas, restaurants, guest floors, offices, plant rooms and all other areas of the Hotel.
➢ Ensure that Fire Exit doors are kept free of blockage at all times and ensure that fire and safety equipment are in their right places, and they are operational.
➢ Be alert on potential safety and security hazards in the Hotel, suggest remedies and follow up on rectifications.
➢ Supervise all aspects of key distribution and control, daily audits according to the Policies and Procedures of the Hotel and to report any discrepancy immediately to Safety and Security Manager.
➢ Ensure that Fire and Emergency Procedures are adhered to at all times.
