Employment: Full Time

This opportunity is with a large group based in UAE.


As the Chief Information Officer, you would be responsible for selecting and implementing suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits.


Overseeing all technology operations and evaluating them according to established goals. Analyzing the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs. You would be responsible for managing all the electronic data to maintain the consistency of records throughout the business’ system.


You would ensure that the IT assets are updated and utilized. You would be responsible for ensuring that the business follows all external regulatory authorities and safety-critical element processes and standards.


Selecting and implementing suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits. You would monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain a competitive advantage and provide tools and training for your staff to ensure the quality of their performance. You would be responsible for overseeing that the IT security strategy is in line with the internal policies and government regulations.


You would recommend improvements and inputs to optimize the technological resources available within the company. You will monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance, use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology and communicate technology strategy to partners and investors.


Requirements

To be successful you will possess to be successful, you will possess at least 15+ years of experience in a senior leadership role, Bachelor's degree in IT or related field is a must, knowledge of technological trends to build strategy, ability to conduct technological analyses and research, leadership and organizational abilities, strategic thinking, conflict resolution skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be UAE national.

Missions and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for defining the category strategy based on internal present and future requirements utilizing supplier and competitor market analysis. As the Category Manager you will manage the contracts and supplier relationship for the long term whilst being accountable for the procurement performance related to your assigned portfolio.

Lead the process of defining the category strategy for assigned portfolio

Engage and negotiate with suppliers in collaboration with the Chief Procurement Officer and within the AMEI framework

Implement the sourcing strategy and contract management with the suppliers

Lead the supplier relationship management activities across assigned portfolio

Effectively communicate with the various internal Stakeholders

Conduct periodic surveys to measure internal customer feedback for continuous improvement in collaboration with the Procurement Performance Manager

Collect suggestions from suppliers to improve Air Liquide processes and develop innovations originating from suppliers

Manage the function’s continuous improvement initiatives.

Consolidate and present Category Management action plans to the management and regional teams


Competencies and Profile

Experience

5 years experience in Procurement, with specific experience in strategic sourcing as a category manager.

Previous experience from Industrial,chemicals, Heavy FMCG or Oil Field services will be preferred.
