We are delighted to be working with this rapidly expanding and very cool QSR group who are now looking for a Supply Chain Director!

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager or Director who is well versed in the Gulf region and currently holding a similar role in the Restaurant or FMCG sector. Experience in different regions like Europe and USA is also beneficial as they plan to conquer the world!

Must be able to set up the division for global expansion too so huge scope attached to this role! Leadership of large multi-cultural teams is important and excellent negotiation skills are required!

• Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities across supply chain operations.

• Act as a key liaison with clients on procurement, fulfillment, logistics, and freight related issues.

• Oversee and work toward improvement of fulfillment processes and adherence to client general procurement guidelines and policy.

• Oversee and work towards improvement of supplier performance.

• Oversee and work toward improvement of transportation routes and load management.

• Contribute to Pickl’s market intelligence.

• Provide regular progress and status reports to the CEO, COO and other members of the leadership team as needed.

• Approve commodity purchase orders placed with suppliers within the authorized dollar value threshold.

• Represent Pickl supply chain operations to clients and partners, including vendor meetings regarding general operational issues and meetings regarding general freight and logistics issues.

• Proactively lead and empower the Procurement and Logistics team to encourage operational excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Ensure Operations’ staff use high quality communications with clients, vendors, and principal recipients.

• Participate/lead in regular Pickl team meetings, as required.

• Oversee and contribute to the development of and/or generation and distribution of project reports and other communication as required.

• Develop a supply chain team in line with Pickl’s global growth.

We have been exclusively assigned by our client, a large international food company based in Oman with over 5,000 people across the Middle East Region.

The business are a prominent food business, that run a large Sales & Distribution operation in Oman.

Our client are seeking an experienced and dedicated Supply Chain & Logistics Manager who can help with the workload demands required for the regional business unit in Muscat, Oman, with the main objective on proficiently managing the warehousing, transport and demand planning. This position entails a high level of responsibility whilst the successful candidate will report directly to the COO.

This role is at times demanding and thus requires a resilient and composed individual who is able to handle the pressure of deadlines daily so as to ensure of successful delivery and efficiency.

Roles & Responsibilities include but limited to;

- Relationship building and nurturing with partners to ensure improvement on cost control.

- Coordinates optimal policies & procedures whilst modelling compliance

- Managing warehouses in compliance with Supply Chain, company policies and legal requirements.

- Overseeing warehouse and distribution operations..

- Interfacing with Sales Management and strategically ensuring stock flow from warehouses

- Productive communication between all process functions including warehouses and BU’s, Planning, Sales, Trade Marketing, Finance & HR.

- Monitor efficiency of warehousing and distribution operations using productivity and financial KPI’s

- Responsible for ensuring that inventory controls are managed, to meet targets

- Ensure team briefings take place on a daily/weekly basis in designated warehouses to ensure all information is properly cascaded to the team

- Contribute to the recruitment process and ensure induction and motivation of the team is happening in his designated warehouses.

- Managing a a team of around 150 people by identifying needs and providing relevant training to drive efficient production & work performance across warehouses. Motivate, guide, coach and empower team members to achieve and perform effectively as a team.

- Using productivity and financial KPI's to ensure efficiency of warehousing and distribution operations

- Responsible for ensuring that all Health & Safety, hygiene guidelines as well as warehouses security.

Requirements

In order to be considered for the role our client requires the successful candidate meets the following criteria;

- Is currently working as a Supply Chain & Logistics Manager

- Must have experience in working for a food related company previously, minimum of 2 years food distribution/Supply Chain experience.

- Previous managerial experience essential, minimum of 5 years managerial experience

- The candidate is open to re-locating to Oman where this role is based

- Candidate living in Oman is desirable, but not essential

SUMMARY OF ROLE

Reporting into the CEO & Chairman the key function of this role will be to guide and direct all Procurement activities throughout the entire construction group.

KEY DUTIES

Qualifications: Engineering degree (in civil or mechanical preferable). Referees will be contacted for verification and recommendation.

Job functions previously occupied: Site Engineer, QA/QC engineer, Senior QA/QC engineer, Senior Materials Engineer, Procurement Manager.

Previous Experience: Great importance shall be given to previous experience with major companies in similar position with proven track record and success. Infrastructure and roads experience is a MUST. Extensive knowledge in material such as pipes (GRP, HDPE, DI, GRE, uPVC, etc.), electrical (LV/MV/HV cables, Substations components, Feeder Pillars, panels, street lights components, etc.), mechanical (valves of all types etc.), steel, aggregate material from quarry, etc.

Particular requirements: Extensive knowledge in international standards, establishment and implementation of systems and procedures (SOPs), excellent writing skills, Excellent Managerial skills, very shrewd, poised, detail oriented, autonomous, capable of establishing, building up, and developing a full-fledged Procurement Department within the Organization.

Nationality: Open. Any professional who fits the above requirements shall be considered.

Visa status: If in UAE, should be transferable without burden or delay.
