Job Description
Project Planning & Execution
Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
Manage end-to-end execution of substation projects (EHV/HV substations, 220 kV & above).
Ensure compliance with Oil & Gas facility regulations, HSE requirements, and quality standards.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 / MS Project for project scheduling.
Leadership & Coordination
Lead multidisciplinary project teams including engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and vendors.
Liaise with client representatives, consultants, and internal stakeholders for approvals and progress updates.
Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of substation equipment (GIS/AIS, transformers, protection & control systems, switchgear, SCADA, etc.).
Technical & Contractual Management
Review and validate electrical designs, drawings, and technical specifications.
Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, ANSI, and Oil & Gas industry standards.
Administer contract terms, manage claims, variations, and resolve disputes with stakeholders.
Financial & Resource Control
Monitor project costs, cash flow, invoicing, and profitability.
Optimize resource utilization (manpower, materials, equipment).
Coordinate procurement of long-lead items and critical equipment.
HSE & Quality Assurance
Implement stringent HSE management systems in compliance with Oil & Gas safety standards.
Ensure QA/QC procedures are followed at all stages of project execution.
Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and quality inspections.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare project progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and clients.
Maintain proper documentation of engineering, construction, and commissioning records.
Ensure project close-out, handover, and warranty obligations are fulfilled.
