Project Manager - Plant Solutions MEA, Dubai, UAE

BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Project Manager executes feed, extrusion and Biofuels projects according to Andritz Feed & Biofuel standards, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, quality, and HSE objectives are achieved. The job location is to be defined based on the candidate, preferably within Turkey or the Middle East region.
 
The role coordinates cross-region execution (China, Asia Pacific, Europe) and interfaces with MEA Sales Managers and customers. The PM leads the integrated plan from engineering through procurement, manufacturing, delivery, installation, commissioning, handover to Service, and lessons learned
 
Focus on Customer expectations and close co-operation with the customer throughout the complete project life cycle. You will switch between project management and, at the same time, you will drive the customer solutions and plant layout closely together with the plant designer, automation, Site management and the customer.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Take an active part in projects from the initial scoping/sales phase to the end of the project execution of the Plant solution EPC project deliveries.Centre for communication between regions (Middle East & Africa, China, Asia Pacific and Europe), internal and external, in the project phases.Ensure quality in all work carried outFrequently follow up with the regional Project team to ensure progress and alignmentUpdating financial forecasting in the ERP system for the projectsReporting of status to the Management teamConduct regular project review meetings, & risk review meetings to mitigate risksInvolved in contract preparation, quotation, technical sales support, and vendor selectionMonitoring on-site installation activities to ensure completion of the project within the time & cost parametersApply engineering principles, tools, skills and experience during project execution stages - Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Delivery, Installation and CommissioningPrepare status, finance reports for projects to keep the customer & organization informed throughout the project life cycleBuild and maintain relationships with key customers to ensure projects are completed as specified by meeting time scales, quality and financial targetsAct as center of communication across MEA, CN, APAC and EU, schedule weekly cross-regional alignmentLead regional projects, Plant Design, Automation, and coordinate Site installation, commissioning and startupCapture lessons learned and update PMO knowledge base; contribute to standard work and templatesServe as a single point of contact; conduct meetings with customer, MoMs, and formal handover of the project and support to Service 
TECHNICAL SKILLS (knowledge)
 
Project management principles and EPC plant solution delivery lifecyclePlant engineering knowledge (Mechanical, Electrical, Process), ability to read 3D layouts, PFDs and P&IDsExperience in MS Office –MS Project, SAP – Business level written & verbal skills in EnglishAble to understand basic business finance, e.g., gross margin percentages and calculations, depreciation, capital and revenue expenditure, cash-flow, overheads, etc. 
LANGUAGE
 
Professional fluency in the English languageOther language skills, such as Turkish or Arabic, will be advantageous 
POSITION
 
To assist the Sales department in reviewing quotations and come up with input and earlier lessons learned for solutions, and support Sales in the Quotation process, where needed
Project Scope management:Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.Participate in the confirmation of equipment specification for Automation and Service towards the customerProject Time Management:project deliverables: Control and manage progress both internally and externallyProjects follow up with the customer on deliveries during the whole project, incl. site erection/Installation & start-upParticipate in Internal project review meetings for status towards the Management teamParticipate in customer site meetings to closely follow progress and status for the project for optimal customer experienceProject Cost ManagementMaintain Cost in the SAP finance systemProject Communications ManagementCentre for communication, internal and external, in the project phasesCustomer relations one point of contactHand over meetings from the sales responsibleKick off meetings for the organisation (Project team)Monitor and report on progress, risks and finance of the project 
Project Risk Management
Evaluate risk with the project team and initiate actions where needed, involving both the internal organization, suppliers and the customer 
Project technical service
Offer technical consulting services to customers, and hereby ensure that our customer technical expectations are fulfilled e.g., participate in design 3D layouts in collaboration with Plant Design Engineers and the customer Evaluate and assess the results of the project with the project team – Lessons learned, Responsible for Project claimsBe flexible in switching between different work disciplines if the workload is needed in other areasResults-oriented with a positive outlookClear focus on high quality and business profitComfortable in a dynamic and international environmentExcellent planning and time management skillsSelf-drivenCustomer-orientedGood with numbersGood teamwork skillsGood Project management skillsNegotiation skills   
SCHOOL EDUCATION
 
Minimum
Bachelor's / Master's of Mechanical / Electrical / Civil / Process / Constructional Engineering or similar.
Desirable
Bachelor's / Master's of Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
