The SC strategy COE director will support the UAE region. In this position, you will report to the Steel Supply Chain Strategy Senior Director . The Supply Chain Strategy group is in charge of sourcing strategy, supplier selection, performance management and new part introduction. You will lead with your team, cross functional programs to support supply chain strategy in particular related to business system implementation, process alignment across departments, and reporting/automation of department KPIs. You will also act as main supply chain leader for the UAE region.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do…

• Monitor and coordinate implementation of business system programs with our business system team
• Coordinate with with trade compliance team
• Benchmark existing business systems with best options on the market and suggest new developments
• Stay aware of state-of-the-art business systems for Supply Chain
• Ensure a comprehensive organization of processes for the department and manage it to drive impact on the business and continuous improvement
• Ensure correct training and communication of processes
• Drive our department KPI program
• Representing Supply Chain in the region
• Periodically review UAE entity Supply Chain strategy and KPIs

Here is some of what you’ll need (required)…

• Solid structuring and analytical skills
• Advanced managerial skills in a multi-cultural environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to report and present a strategy at executive level
• Advanced communication skills (written and verbal)
• Fluent oral and written communications in English
• Results orientation and demonstrated ability to think out of the box to drive results
• Ability to handle ambiguity and respond quickly and flexibly
• Ability to work with customs data
• Autonomous

Here are a few of our preferred experiences…

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical and/or business major; graduate degree preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of experience
• Experience working in an international environment
