Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, repair, and replace tyres on earthmoving equipment, dump trucks, loaders, graders, and other PMVs.
- Perform tyre fitting, balancing, and inflation according to manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot tyre-related issues (e.g., punctures, wear patterns, bead damage).
- Operate tyre-changing machines, bead breakers, and hydraulic jacks safely.
- Conduct pressure checks and tread depth measurements to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in tyre inventory management, including stock checks and ordering replacements.
- Follow workshop safety protocols and ensure proper disposal of damaged tyres.
- Work closely with mechanics and plant operators to minimize equipment downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of tyre servicing and replacements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Tyreman in construction, mining, or heavy equipment maintenance.
- Knowledge of OTR (Off-The-Road) tyres and PMV tyre specifications.
- Ability to operate tyre-handling equipment (e.g., tyre handlers, forklifts).
- Strong understanding of tyre wear patterns and failure analysis.
- Physically fit (able to lift heavy tyres and work in outdoor conditions).
- Basic mechanical aptitude (welding/repair skills are a plus).
- Safety certifications (OSHA, COSHH, or equivalent) preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED1,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
