Job Family Definition:
Develops the company’s public affairs programs, including government relations, public policy, public relations, philanthropy, education programs, and internal/external communications. Communicates and represents the company’s values, philosophies, policies and strategies to internal and/or external constituencies. Enhances the company's image, identity and relations with communities, educational institutions, government agencies, industry leaders, employees and stockholders. Interacts with community organizations, educational institutions, and government agencies to influence public perceptions, laws and regulations that advance the business interests of the company. Develops the company's public policy and regulatory objectives after analyzing the impact of laws and regulations on the company and identifying potential solutions. Utilizes expertise in government affairs, education, philanthropy, and public relations to help the company’s business teams meet their strategic business objectives.
Management Level Definition:
Applies basic foundation of a function's principles, theories and concepts to assignments of limited scope. Uses professional concepts and theoretical knowledge acquired through specialized training, education or previous experience. Develops expertise and practical knowledge of applications within business environment. Acts as team member by providing information, analysis and recommendations in support of team efforts. Exercises independent judgment within defined parameters.

Education and Experience Required:
Typically a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or 0-1 years related experience.
May include highly experienced individuals performing entry-level equivalent work who are non-degreed or degreed in an unrelated field.
Basic knowledge in the field of public affairs and/or government relations.
Type of Experience Needed:
Basic knowledge in one or more areas: public affairs; educational programs; government relations; public policy; public relations; and/or philanthropy.
