IDT Service Assurance Engineer, Shell, Qatar

 What's the role?

Service Assurance shows proficiency in monitoring the availability of a landscape of services, typically across a Site (such as Pearl GTL site) or across an infrastructure component that services multiple application landscapes.

She/he assists the Service Assurance team in ensuring key availability and security KPIs remain a primary focus, as well as escalate as needed within the IDT Services and Operations organization when service levels deteriorate. 

  • Support Qatar operations in the area service assurance and field operations.

  • Management of Major incidents and operational issues with a view to coordinate with relevant service providers to promptly solve the issues.

  • Acts as the facility focal point for all Qatar Shell locations in Qatar.

  • Assists on planning and execution operations.

  • Responsible on operations.

  • Responsible for planning and execution of yearly Client Asset Refresh program.

  • Responsible for providing yearly estimation of hardware and peripherals to ensure the continuity of Secure and Reliable IT Operations.

  • Assists on budget build up during cycles.

  • Represent in all meeting with business stakeholders where required.

  • Provide input and requirements (functional and technical) and actively participate in ongoing projects.

  • Ensures safe execution of all operations in line with Shell Goal Zero targets.

  • Assists with building roadmap on Asset of the Future in Qatar.

We are looking for an action-oriented, energetic, and curious individual who has a learning mindset, and a passion for emerging and exponential technologies. Successful candidate should be able to understand the value chain of the IT business portfolio and associated customer journeys and touchpoints and apply customer centric techniques to identify and pursue the right value opportunities. She/he should be able to  engage with a with a variety of stakeholders across the Qatar Shell with excellent communication skills and  translate business requirements to IT Product development

What we need from you

  • Typical Years of Experience: 1 to 3 years of IT experience in a corporate setting

  • Minimum Education or Certification: 4-year Degree in IT

  • Experience in end user and IT systems support.

  • Have a good understanding of Service Management, Service Provider, End User Computing and Networks.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, which are critical and required to develop the professional respect essential for successful performance.

  • Fluent in English

  • Ability to manage relations with peers and senior managers effectively in various organizations.

  • Ability and willingness to travel and work at offshore production facility.
