NETWORK PERFORMANCE ANALYST, Bahrain

We need a NETWORK PERFORMANCE ANALYST


MAIN OBJECTIVES

To be a member of a team which is responsible for Gulf Air's Network planning activities including annual budget and designing 5-year Network Strategy that covers hub structure, fleet usage, route presence, Origin & Destination planned to capture. To support in monitoring network performance, capacity/frequency and timing of specific flights.

To evaluate prepare business cases with supporting analysis and economic justifications for the company new strategic directions.

MAIN DUTIES

1.Assist in evaluating current and future network plans.

2.Responsible for providing to executive management detailed analysis concerning the company's route traffic market conditions, competitors.

3.Develop and enhance systems, analyze, and communicate traffic and revenue data on regular basis, to assist in the development of the most suitable management information systems in coordination's with departments concerned.

4.Control multiple assumptions within complex scenarios that need to be evaluated and examined to conclude the optimal with the highest commercial return to the business.

5.Monitor, analyze and report on route performance and recommend changes to the current routes and sectors.

6.Perform economic analysis of any new route opportunities and progress to a business case to be presented to executive management that includes your recommendations.

7.Recommend short-term product changes to improve performance.

8.Provide key resource areas with key statistics to aid their future planning.

9.Develop high level plans and impact of all competitors.

10.Responsible for providing to executive management reporting concerning the company's route Profitability and Performance, traffic, and market conditions.

11.Develop and enhance Network Planning systems. Some of the tools maybe and not limited to (Profit Manager, Market Intelligence Solution (DDS/MIDT, SRS Analyzer) to analyze and communicate traffic and revenue data on regular basis, to assist in the development of the most suitable management information systems in coordination's with departments concerned.

12.Critically examine alternatives for cost benefit analysis.

13.Discuss, explain, and analyze scenario evaluation for business cases while deciding upon acquiring new fleet or opening new routes and stations or increasing the frequency of flights in a particular sector.

14.Review and resolve issues related to interfaces of Commercial Planning systems with other systems within the company.

15.Assist in handling Charter flights operation, including (quotation, Negotiation, agreement, implementation and managing the clients.

16.Analyze datasets to generate insights that support business decisions.

17.Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations using Microsoft Office tools.

18.Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver analytical solutions.

19.Support automation and process improvement initiatives using programming tools.

EDUCATION

• 
  Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related analytical discipline (preferred).

• Fresh graduates are welcome; relevant internship or project experience is a plus.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Minimum 2 years of experience in a responsible position in planning or marketing in an international airline or equivalent organization.

High level of knowledge and understanding of Finance/Network systems is essential.

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts; advanced skills preferred).

• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

• Programming in SAS and/or Python

• Knowledge of SQL is an advantage.

• Strong numerical reasoning and analytical problem‑solving skills.

Soft Skills

• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and within a team.

• Good communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
