Account Manager - Energy, AWS Energy & Utilities EMEA, Dubai, UAE

DescriptionAWS is seeking a world class sales professional to manage our global customer relationship with ADNOC, one of the largest Energy companies in the world, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The Account Manager will be responsible for providing global business leadership and guidance. You will build and maintain key relationships, develop and manage opportunities, monitor deployment projects and engage extended team resources. You will define a CXO relationship strategy within the account, including engaging with AWS senior leadership team for executive sponsorships, coordinating executive business reviews, and maintaining customer satisfaction.



Key job responsibilitiesResponsibilitiesThe Account Manager is responsible for teaming with the customer’s IT and Business Lines to build strategic relationships across the account, articulating a clear vision and generating enthusiasm, while impacting all business groups. The rep is responsible for selling at the most strategic level within the account and implementing a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service implementation. The rep will work with all appropriate AWS resources (Executives, Solution Architects, Business Development, Marketing, Partners, Support, Service teams and Professional Services) to support customer interests. This includes dotted line responsibility for downstream sales and technical resources that may be geographically distributed.
Development of formal case studies and other forms of references highlighting activity and workloads running on AWS is core to the role.
This person will be responsible for the whole account and related business units, working with the local and global AWS Energy & Utilities team.
About the teamWorking within the Energy & Utilities Business Unit at AWS means to work closely within a specialised community of professionals in the E&U industry. Your colleagues will be hands-on practitioners with strong industry acumen and deep technology skills. The Energy industry is at a very exciting moment in time, where supply and demand is shifting and renewable energy generation is on the rise. You will find yourself in the middle of this transformation, guiding our customers to leverage the best of the new technology and helping to innovate and solve new business challenges.
Basic Qualifications- 7+ years of sales experience- Proven extensive knowledge of IT and Cloud technology (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS)
Preferred Qualifications- Good knowledge of the local UAE energy market- Good knowledge of the Oil & Gas upstream business- BA or BS degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing, or related field- Experience in large complex deal negotiations with a successful track record; establishing credibility quickly with senior level executives across the organisations.- Experience in consultative selling or consulting background
