Wood is recruiting for a Senior Telecom Engineer (Omani) to join its Projects team focusing on delivering across FEED and Detail design scopes of work. In this role, you will be responsible to plan, implement and manage FEED Office projects and assist IM&T (Applications, Telecoms, Computing and Information Management) projects for within scope, cost and time. Position is based in Oman for a long-term assignment.

The Senior Telecom Engineer will be responsible:

• Study, review and identify the scope from the input document of previous phase of ORP.

• Develop Terms of Reference (TOR) for each project under area of responsibility and in consultation with relevant IM&T Portfolio Analysts.

• Develop CTR estimate and provide inputs to project execution plan/schedule for projects as necessary.

• Create and manage Project MTO of Telecom in SAP.

• Plan and Execute procurement activities as per the agreed implementation strategy and in line with C&P guidelines.

• Review the key project deliverables and liase with IM&T team ensuring the FEED Office standards compliance.

• Supervise and ensure alignment of Quality System requirement for all projects executed in FEED Office.

• Actively involve in CI and Lean Management with regards to FEED Office proecdures and Project management.

• Participate in quality audits and own the responsibility of resolving any findings / NCR / Improvements raised for Telecoms.

• Execute allocated projects in line with project plan, actively participating in all phases of the project. Identify, assess and manage risks to the success of the project.

• Maintain, Review and Monitor the project Cost Performance Index and Schedule Performance Index for the projects under execution.

• Adopt and implement Project Management best practices in line with directives from FEED Office, IM&T project office and corporate guidelines.

• Conduct and attend relevant workshops and framing sessions related to project execution in accordance with project schedule.

• Provide input to project Value Assurance Reviews during major stage gates of the key projects.

• Manage contractors as per the corporate guidelines stipulated under IMT-502 List.

• Manage internal resources for the implementation of FEED Office projects and activities associated with FEED Office standards and procedures.

• Manage and execute FEED Office projects. Ensure completion within the agreed time scale while maintaining Company standards.

• Ensure project handover and demonstrate the handover as per FEED Office standards.

• Complete technical closeouts as per the FEED office standards.

• Graduate in Telecoms, Computing, Engineering, Science or related fields.
• Minimum of 6 years in FEED/Engineering Experience and 10 years relevant experience in Oil & Gas.
• Proven project management and leadership skills, and good knowledge of business analysis.
• Excellent in planning, communication and presentation skills, and is expert in project quality management
• Excellent interpersonal, written & oral communication skills with the ability to persuade, lead teams & build trust at all levels in the organisation.
• Proven track record in customer relationship management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant project life-cycles.
• A sound knowledge in Exploration & Production Engineering business activities is required or in depth knowledge within a respective portfolio discipline.
• Demonstrates ability to proactively seek responsibility and shows systematic approach to problem solving
• Possesses an in-depth understanding of IM&T practices, principles, and information and communications technology.
