Job Summary :

The incumbent will report directly to the SVP International Private Banking, and will assist formulate, propose and execute the strategic intent of the AWM (Group PB) function, internationally. The Senior Associate International PB will develop and maintain key relationships with external and internal business partners.

Main Responsibilities :

A. Shareholder & Financial:

• Ensure the implementation of PB-related best practice across all activities, internationally.
• Identify new overseas business opportunities in conjunction with the respective overseas unit heads and thereby facilitate the growth of the international business.
• Analyze pricing structures/policies for PB products and services, internationally.
• Review and analyze the international component of the Group PB KPIs on a monthly basis, and seek to address adverse variances noted with the respective overseas unit heads.
• Implements KPI’s and best practices for Senior Associate International Private Banking role.
• Acts within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent.

B. Customer (Internal & External):

• Develop value-added products and services to overseas PB clients.
• Oversee relationships with existing overseas clients.
• Prepare timely and accurate information to external and internal auditors, the Group Compliance function, and Group Risk as and when required.
• Produces Market Intelligence reports for the purpose of product development.
• Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments/units to achieve improvements in turn-around time.
• Build and maintain strong/effective relationships with related departments/units to achieve the Group’s objectives

C. Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):

• Assist Private Bankers with account opening process:
• General administrative and operational support to Private Bankers & Assistant Private Bankers by preparing, submitting and following up on Account Opening, Client Screening, KYC/ Maintenance and updates, Client transfer requests, Client enquiries, statements etc
• To assist Private Bankers & Assistant Private Bankers in all Bank facilities process (loans, annual review, O/D , Mortgages etc…) and ensure assisting customers in all their queries on Bank’s product and seek solution to their request.
• Ensure timely and efficiently process of any client request.
• Monitor the accounts daily in accordance with the clients risk tolerance.
• Maintain effective and updated client data, prepare and complete the reviews and reports on time.
• Prepare full account opening package
• Ensure account opening documents are duly filled and signed by client
• Ensure all required legal documents are provided by the client
• Assist Private Bankers in client account management:
• Respond to Private Bankers requests and resolve account related problems.
• Credit card management, amendments and & Complaints
• Handling safe deposit lockers
• Handle all received transactions, requests, payments, standing orders & solve account related problems in an accurate manner to ensure client satisfaction and minimize complaints.
• Forward Private Bankers requests such as Credit Card requests (New, Replace, increase, decrease & any amendment) to the concerned departments and follow up with the respective departments for a timely and accurate execution
• Open client accounts and arrange for any amendment on the account, request for ATM, Chq Book…etc
• Review transactions for compliance with policies
• Ensure adherence to policy, audit and legal requirements
• Work with service providers to resolve specific problems

D. Learning & Knowledge:

• Demonstrate good understanding of the Private Banking financial service industry.
• Demonstrate Leadership and Business development expertise.
• Share knowledge of the global / local industry benchmarks while aiming towards differentiation.
• Proactively identify areas for professional development of self and undertake development activities.
• Seek out opportunities to remain current with all developments in professional field.

E. Legal, Regulatory, and Risk Framework Responsibilities:

• Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal compliance requirements including, but not limited to, Group Compliance Policies and Procedures (AML & CTF, Sanctions Policy, Data Protection Policy, Fraud Control Policy, Whistle Blowing Policy, Conflict of Interest and Insider Dealing Policy).
• Understand and effectively perform your role under the Three Lines of Defence principle to identify measure, monitor, manage and report risks.
• Ensure systematic good outcomes for clients in accordance with Conduct Risk policy.
• Support the framework of RCSA, KRI, Incident reporting and remediation, as appropriate, in accordance with the Operational Risk Management requirements.
• Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure full qualification to undertake the role.
• Complete all mandatory training provided by the Bank, attain, and maintain the required levels of competence.
• Attend mandatory (internal and external) seminars as instructed by the Bank.

F. Other:

• Ensure high standards of data protection and confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information.
• Maintaining utmost confidentiality concerning customer and internal bank information obtained during the course of business and provide such information on a need to know basis only to Senior Management of QNB, Audit and Compliance functions, and relevant Regulators.
• Maintain high professional standards to uphold QNB's reputation and to strengthen its market leadership position.
• All other ad hoc duties/activities related to QNB that management might request from time to time.

Education and Experience Requirements :

• Bachelor degree University Graduate/ preferred with a Major in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration
• At least 2 years of experience in Private Banking.
• Certifications: CISI highly desirable
• Well-informed of the Private banking environment and operations, industry practices and regulations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (including report writing) in English and Arabic.
• Good interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Understanding of the relevant laws, regulations, and practices.
• Ability to make decisions and follow through with initiatives.
• Personal integrity and self-management.
• Planning, organising, and analytical ability.
• Results oriented.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of management.
• Strong business acumen, commercial awareness and revenue-generating skills;
• Strong presence and ability to make an impact;
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of management.
