Duties & Responsibilities
Purpose
To implement Corrosion & Integrity Management Services on Pressure Systems for the allocated Assets/sites. These services are to be in line with Oceaneering and Client’s documentary requirements and onshore / offshore legislation(s) where applicable.
Sr Principal Integrity Engineer (Corrosion) is required to drive following within his/her area of expertise.

Functions
ESSENTIAL
Development of Material Selection Reports
Development of Material Selection Philosophy Documents.
Preparing Material Selection Diagrams and Tables.
Preparing Corrosion Manuals and Corrosion Control Documents.
Developing Methodology for Corrosion Loop Diagrams.
Performing Corrosion Risk Assessments.
Preparing Corrosion Control Strategies like Chemical Injection & Water Wash.
Developing Dashboards for Corrosion KPIs.
Preparing Piping Material Specifications.
Development of Project Painting Specification.
Development of Internal Coating Specifications.
Development of Coating Selection Plan.
Developing Cathodic Protection Plans.
Development of Intrusive Corrosion Monitoring Plan.
Development of Process Fluid Sampling process.
Development of Integrity Operating Windows.
Development of Corrosion Management Programs for new construction.
Identification of Damage Mechanisms in offshore and onshore Oil & Gas processing facilities.
Hands on experience with Corrosion Prediction software (like ECE etc.)
Internal Corrosion Direct Assessment and External Corrosion Direct Assessment of Pipelines.
Ensure compliance to Regulatory requirements and client standards.
Perform Integrity Management, Inspection Management, Risk Assessment, Corrosion Engineering activities for Pressure Systems in accordance with client contractual requirements
Assist in development of Client integrity strategy documentation, and ensure implementation of corrosion management control strategy; Develop KPIs relevant to corrosion performance measurement
Prepare Cathodic Protection plan; conduct CP system survey, soil resistivity check/study (as & when required)
Provide corrosion expertise to RBI team in forming Corrosion Loop, Identifying Damage Mechanisms, Establishing IOW (including process fluid sampling), Assigning Corrosion Rates, carrying out RLA study etc.; Effectively interact with multi-disciplinary RBA or other process groups
Propose mitigation measures for corrosion damages; Conducting Corrosion rate assessment using company approved software; Review of Corrosion coupon data
Provide technical guidance on coating selection, Corrosion inhibitors and water wash operations/activities
Provide technical leadership and authority in designated corrosion engineering discipline, designating work where applicable to assistant engineers within their technical capabilities, and verify assistant engineer output
Write accurate and concise reports or documents comprising of review, analyses, and trend integrity management or risk assessment data and outputs
Function as asset lead for corrosion, including provision of recommendation for remediation of failures/anomaly
Undertake or co-ordinate failure investigations into material and corrosion issues as per approved procedures
Provide authoritative technical assessment and interpretation of corrosion/inspection monitoring data
Recommend changes in corrosion criticality analyses and inspection/monitoring program where appropriate
Deliver periodic reports, corrosion status of systems, identification, and assessment of significant trends from surveys and Chemical and Corrosion Control Matrices (CCCMs)
Compilation of Integrity Status Reporting as per client requirements, with support from Inspection Engineers
Manage and develop engineers by actively mentoring and promoting talent to cultivate an engineering team capable of delivering a best-in-class service
Lead, develop or input to bids, proposals, marketing material in support of global operations
Support the Business Development function in the identification and development/delivery of marketing to prospective clients
Support the Line Manager in management of Oceaneering contract providing assurance on technical delivery and cost management including budgets/forecasting. Provide support to verification activities related to applicable performance standards
Input into annual reporting as directed by LM
Assist the LM to achieve Key Performance Indicator (KPI) deliverables and overall management of the service
Undertake site visits as and when required
Train junior Engineers and supervise / approve their work
NON-ESSENTIAL
The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post
Assist with any other duties as and when required
Undertake specific projects as instructed by management
Qualifications
REQUIRED
Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline in a relevant subject (e.g., Metallurgical/Corrosion Engineering)
DESIRED
Master’s Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline in a relevant subject (e.g., Metallurgical/Corrosion Engineering)
Certification relevant to Corrosion management program (NACE- (Senior) Corrosion Technologist)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in relation to the job description with bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Minimum 13 years of relevant experience in relation to the job description with master’s degree in Engineering
Understanding and application of standards, risk assessments principles, material properties relevant to mechanical plant & equipment integrity and legislation(s) associated with in-service inspection of plant and equipment
Proven success in delivering technical projects
Expert knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations applicable to integrity management
Must be familiar with QA/QC systems/procedures and NDT techniques
Provide leadership, co-ordination, or guidance to others
Good communicator, both written, verbal, and technical to make complex terminology simple for the benefit of others
Good client or support contractor relationship skills at various levels of seniority or diverse cultures
