Job Description
1. Full awareness and ability to implement the Planned preventative maintenance (PPM), Corrective Maintenance (CM) & Breakdown Maintenance (BD) of Fire Alarm system.
2. Handle Addressable Fire Alarm Control Panels (Preferable EST) troubleshooting and rectification of wiring and other issues.
3. Handle and service/test addressable and Conventional automatic and manual initiating devices like Smoke Detectors, Heat Detectors, Flame Detectors, Air Aspiration systems, Linear Heat Detection System, Beam Detectors, Manual Call Points, water flow switches, etc.…
4. Handle and service/test addressable and Conventional input, output, control relay modules
5. Handle and service/test addressable and Conventional notification appliances like sounders, flashers, horn strobe, Public Announcement speakers, riser circuits amplifiers etc.…
6. Ability to conform to all general and technical safety requirements always to ensure the health, safety & welfare of self and others at work.
7. Any other work as assigned by the supervisor /Engineer to achieve the purpose.
8. Can read, interpret, and describe Single Line Diagrams and Cause and Effect matrix.
9. Can correctly setup and use test equipment and interpret the test results.
10. Handle smoke detector testing tools & calibration tools (like SIGA-PRO)
11. Handle heat Detectors testing tool, Flame Detector Testing tool, Beam detectors Testing tool, (Map Fault troubleshooting tools like SIGA-HDT)
12. Proper usage of Digital Multi meter (Current /Volts/Amps)
13. Knowledge in the use & interpretation of NFPA, UAEFC, DCD codes, Standards and Regulations.
Requirements
Minimum Technical Skills: Ability to perform safely and correctly the following tasks on Fire Detection Systems:
Additional Requirements:
1- Educational Certificate; preferably a Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electronics.
2- Good Manners of English (both written and spoken)
3- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the field Fire Alarm and Fire Safety
