Job Description:
Requirements and Competencies
Bachelor of Law (or regional equivalent education)
Licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
10+ years of experience at a reputable law firm and/or global corporation in contracting including multinational and complex deals, preferably in IT services industry
Experience with the business environment in the Middle East, including contracting with Government, and an understanding of the Saudi legal system and Sharia law
Accomplished negotiator with an understanding of principle-based negotiation strategy and tactics including the ability to present alternatives with proposed solutions
Proven ability to efficiently manage a large volume of transactions independently
Experience with mentoring and managing team members
Superior written and verbal communication skills, including Arabic language capability
Understanding of contracting/risk issues, as they apply to the technology services industry
Willing to travel in the Middle East sub-region as required to support transactions
Responsibilities
Structure, draft and negotiate complex customer transactions in a fast-paced corporate environment on a broad range of contracts, including master services agreements with new clients, SOWs, RFPS, and agreements involving IT managed services, security, cloud and systems integration.
Act as a trusted adviser to the Sales leadership in the Middle East & Africa sub-region
Oversee and supervise IT transactions being supported by other Legal team members in the Middle East & Africa sub-region
Provide ongoing legal advice to account teams regarding legal implications of specific terms and conditions in existing contracts.
Manage a team of 5-6 lawyers supporting Transactions and existing contracts in the Middle East & Africa sub-region.
Embrace innovative legal delivery services solutions, including use of technology and process to improve effectiveness and efficiency of delivery of legal services
Allocate transactional work to Legal team members as new support requests are received from the business team
