JOB TITLE: MANAGER - MASTER DATA MANAGEMENT AND DATA GOVERNANCE
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Governance Manager lead and manage all organization-wide data governance activities and will have responsibility for improving the quality and managing the protection of sensitive data and information assets.
The position will focus on establishing and ensuring adherence to an enterprise data governance framework for data policies, standards and practices, both at the department and Business and Functional areas level, to achieve the required level of consistency, quality and protection to meet overall business needs.
The MDM and Data Governance Manager serves as a point of escalation for governance, data quality and protection issues and will work closely with Business and Functional area leadership to improve the quality and value of core data assets, respond to regulatory protection requirements as well as support the strategic requirements of the department.
MDM and Governance Manager manages creation, implementation and maintenance of master data management solutions that enables users to optimize system capabilities.
Being a Master Data Management Manager manages data and governance and ensures data integrity by leading data efforts across the organization. Creating a strategy along with CDO and leads initiatives for improving data management processes, organizational change and adoption of data.
Establish and govern an enterprise data governance implementation roadmap including strategic priorities for development of information-based capabilities
Roll out an enterprise wide data governance framework, with a focus on improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data through modifications to organization behaviour policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools and data architecture
Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the company’s principal information assets
Serve as a liaison between Business and Functional areas and technology to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning
Develop & maintain inventory of the enterprise information maps, including authoritative systems, owners
Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards, data protection standards and adoption requirements across the enterprise
Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements
Build-up / Grow the MDM practice, through leveraging our team and network of professionals.
Lead MDM projects, end-to-end, defining project approach, resources and delivering them till the end.
Participate in the development of master data management and data governance strategies, implementation roadmaps and business cases.
Understand and evaluate business processes, enabling to successfully translate business needs into information and data requirements.
Help defining and embedding Master Data Management and governance principles internally and at clients.
Ensuring that data is accurate by conducting audits and identifying trends that may indicate problems with data quality
Designing and implementing data management policies and procedures for an organization to ensure compliance with industry regulations
Assess, design, develop and implement Master Data Management solutions within complex system landscapes.
Design and build MDM Architecture, for instance as part of ERP and/or Digital Transformations.
Evaluate and design (Master) data architectures and data flow diagrams; Provide support in product development, proposals and further research around the topic of Master Data Management and Data Governance.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Preferably you have a master degree and acquired 4 to 5 years of experience in setting data governance, master data management, architecture, quality, assurance, modelling or related role, preferably within a multinational organization.
You apply a holistic approach to (Master) data management, quality principles, technological solutions and a change in culture, supporting the realization of business objectives.
You understand the importance of change management in the implementation of data and information management strategies.
You are comfortable with market trends, technologies and regulations related to (Enterprise) Data Management and data quality.
You are result-oriented with expert problem solving and analytical skills.
You can lead a team of more junior consultants.
You have (hands-on) experience with implementing data management or data transformation tools.
You have (hands-on) experience in solving challenges for master data management, data quality problems or complex data integration.
Having knowledge/expertise with largest ERP packages (Oracle, SAP) and underlying architecture is a plus.
You are aware of challenges related to the set-up of Data & Analytics-driven organizations.
You are a self-starter, with a keen interest in technology and highly motivated towards success.
