As a Freight & Customs Manager, you will be the leader and expert in the world of customs in UAE and its free zones.
Freight & Customs Manager will develop the domain for the company from initial stage and will need to be truly growth driven.
Responsibilities:
To ensure full compliance of Customs Documentation for Air & Road freight shipments, including customs registrations and declarations as needed
Utilising knowledge of customs tariffs, CPC codes to ensure shipment are processed in a timely manner.
Work with the company’s clients (being largely fashion retailers and brands) on all international import / export requirements from FTZ to international destinations.
To advise the business and generate plans to mitigate the risks and take opportunities.
To ensure the business is constantly compliant with all Dubai customs and relevant free zones processes and any changes to legislation are implemented throughout the business.
Experiences:
Import into Free zone from the rest of the world.
Import to mainland from free zone (Title of goods transfer)
Transfer of ownership within Free zone and related FZ/customs formalities.
Consolidated import clearance, de-console AWB per shopper.
Export console clearance (per destination).
Low value shipments non dutiable.
Tech-savvy being with good teamwork capabilitie
Certified Customs Broker in a specific market – Advantage.
Requirements
At least 4 years experience in Freight & Customs - Must.
Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills in English- Must.
Good communication skills in Arabic – Advantage.
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in relevant field – Must.
Customs background preferably in air and road freight (sea background will be considered) in B2C shipments and a good knowledge of customs systems and free zone processes – Advantage.
Formal qualification in the Customs / Freight arena – Advantage.
