The Wholesale Non-Financial Risk (NFR) construct has been brought together in line with HSBC investor commitments in February 2020, and as a result this is an opportunity to shape a key component of HSBC’s future state. The Wholesale Banking (WSB) Business Regulatory Risk (BRR) operates within the Wholesale Non-Financial Risk Function in MENAT.
Wholesale Banking function is responsible for defining and implementing healthy, robust governance frameworks in the interest of fair outcomes for our customers and compliance with the needs of our stakeholders, both internal and external.
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Wholesale NFR team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.
In this role, you will:
Defining and implementing healthy, robust governance frameworks across Wholesale Banking (WSB) in the interest of fair outcomes for customers and compliance with the needs of stakeholders, both internal and external
Support implementation of Conduct risk, Sales Suitability, Outcome Testing and Quality programs including the periodic tracking and review of results
Perform Product Governance accountabilities and support ongoing product governance initiatives (product launch/enhancement/demise, post implementation review, legacy products reviews, annual recertification of the Global Product Inventory etc.)
Ensure only appropriate products are provided to customers to align to their needs and rationalize the product portfolio for our customers and front-line colleagues
Analyse key complaint themes and drive improvement actions to improve these key complaint themes.
Support the Non-Financial Risk and Wholesale Banking senior management in ensuring the appropriate conduct and Non-financial risk and control structure is in place and that risks that have been highlighted are managed and mitigated appropriately
Execution of the regulatory reporting for the UAE Wholesale.
Drive the annual Tax Reporting across the MENAT region for CRS and FATCA regimes.
Requirements
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
Understanding of topics related to Product Governance and Conduct Framework preferably gained through experience in front line, risk roles, consultancy or audit.
Sound knowledge of HSBC Group and the Commercial Banking / Global Banking business, including products, services, systems & processes.
Ability to prioritize and work independently under pressure within a team environment.
Proven problem solving skills with ability to consider alternative and lateral solutions.
Broad knowledge of the external environment (regulatory, political, competitors etc.).
Graduation Degree is a must to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
