We are looking for an experienced sales professional to join the team in Valmet Filtration Technology unit that manufactures filter fabrics for demanding process conditions. With over 50 years’ experience in mining & chemical filtration, Pulp & Paper, Dry Filtration, Valmet offers the most extensive range of high-quality filter fabrics on the market as well as technical support for optimal performance. Our filtration technology covers both wet and dry filtration products as well as ironer felts. Our filtration products are used in the chemical and mining sectors, for the pulp, fiber, board and paper industries, as well as for energy production, waste processing plants, and the food manufacturing industry.

You must have passion for sales and market understanding in order to recognize the potential business opportunities. You are a self-driven team player with strong networking skills, and you are ready to take independent decisions.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Responsibility of sales of Filtration products in Middle East Area
  • Budget and business development responsibility
  • Collect and provide market information and performance feedback of our products to our global product
  • managers
  • Frequent customer visits in order to build and maintain good customer relations
  • Actively develop own sales area in order to identify new business opportunities
  • Create and manage own sales funnel. Maintain sales forecasts together with global product manager and production planning
  • Close and active co-operation with global product managers, R&D, production planning and production teams
  • Provide feedback of competitor behavior and market trends to Valmet organization

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or equal
  • At least 5 years’ of international sales experience which out minimum 3 years in Middle East market
  • Experience in working both directly with end users and third-party channels
  • Experience in sales channel development
  • Experience of filters and filter fabrics is considered as an asset
  • Previous knowledge of mining and energy industry is considered as advantage
  • Self-motivated and ability to operate independently in the assigned region
  • Ability to convert customer needs, concerns and opportunities into sales
  • Management skills in a matrix, multi-cultural, international environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively in Middle East and occasionally to Valmet factories globally
  • Effective written and oral communication skills in English, Arabic is an asset
