Within a complex, dynamic, and competitive market, the Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for translating and adapting global strategies into coherent regional ones. Consequently, the Marketing & Communications Manager will define, implement, and manage the marketing & communications strategy for the brand in the Middle East, India & Africa, ensuring a high level of customer centricity and integrated customer engagement through all touch points with the aim to increase brand exposure, brand awareness, desirability, and capture market share.

 

Report to: Regional Brand Director, MEIA
Location: Dubai, U.A.E.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 

CONTRIBUTE TO OVERALL MARKETING STRATEGY & BRAND POSITIONING

  • Based on HQ strategy, define and coordinate the brand subsidiary’s strategic plan identifying key leverages of success, optimizing opportunities/resources and put in place regional amplification plans to further increase local impact.
  • Define business development opportunities based on a strong understanding of brand DNA & market positioning conducting market trend analysis, consumer and market insights, competitive analysis contributing to the global strategies to maximise ROI.
  • Develop, implement, and supervise 360 action plans, Brand Voice (PR, media plans, sponsorships,) & Brand Experience (Hospitality, Events, Trade Marketing)
  • Co-develop with wholesale and key partners marketing and activation plans
  • Present the regional marketing strategy in the business plan presentation and QMM to the Brand Board.

 

BRAND VOICE:

  • Define and implement the regional communication strategy
  • Build the right media strategy to reach audience (website traffic, bounce rate improvement, engagement, keywords…). Evaluate and identify consumer journey and media touch points
  • Monitor key media that reach target audience and share industry news (press, websites, events etc.)
  • Manage closely media relations and PR plans in co-operation with HQ PR team, and local PR agency, along with PR evaluation monitoring, competition analysis, benchmarking, and best practices.
  • Develop regional content and follow execution
  • Animate the network with relevant content on the watch activity of the region

 

BRAND EXPERIENCE:

  • Build and execute regional events plans in close collaboration with HQ (product launches, boutique openings, tactical events, annual exhibitions, etc.)
  • Set specific KPIs for every event and analyse post-event performance, including ROI
  • Build and execute Dubai Mall Flagship boutique activation plan in partnership with external business partners and KOL to generate traffic and conversion.  
  • Propose, plan and implement the regional trade marketing animations and visual merchandising in line with the global calendar.
  • Oversee the design and building of internal & external boutiques, shop in shops, corners in coordination with the HQ, local suppliers, and retailers.
  • Manage POSM orders, distribution, and inventory in the region.

 

CONTRIBUTE TO OMNICHANNEL BUSINESS & NEW RETAIL

  • Lead new Clienteling strategy implementation - new CRM tools, definition of objectives for client acquisitions, conversion, and retention
  • Manage the quality and the consistency of the client database (capture of qualitative data, segmentation)
  • In collaboration with the retail team, increase customer engagement and define and drive CRM & Retail KPIs
  • Building a clear plan for client activation plan on all touch points of the client journey
  • Working with the commercial team to develop and upgrade E-stream expansion in the region (Remote Sales, E-comm, phone sales)
  • Take part in the elaboration and application of training programs for both retail/wholesale.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in relevant field
  • Minimum 7 years marketing experience within a multinational organization or reputable agency managing multinational accounts and/or global luxury brands communication as well as experience in the Middle East region Knowledge of GCC markets (UAE, KSA, KWT, Qat) market is highly preferred.
  • Possess experience and knowledge in 360 degrees of marketing ecosystem, including online and offline, with good understanding of new media/ digital marketing and proven track record of innovative applications    
  • Strategic contributor, can anticipate future consequences & trends and accurately draw credible visions 
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct thorough market analysis
  • High drive to achieve results, resilient and resourceful in overcoming challenges
  • Well organized, able to manage projects independently
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Pragmatic, flexible and adaptable to multi-task
  • Innovative and creative
  • Affinity to products and digital literacy are a “must”. Watches industry knowledge is a “plus”.
  • Business fluency in English. Arabic knowledge is a “plus”.
