 Overview of the role:

Facilities management is the integration of processes within the organisation to maintain and develop the required service standards, for the properties maintained which support and improve the effectiveness of the assets and their primary activities. As Senior Facilities Manager - Soft Services, the role involves managing and coordinating various aspects of facility operations. Soft services include the maintenance of the non-physical components of facility management, including cleaning / housekeeping services, security services, concierge services, landscaping, pest control services, waste management, and other related services

As soft services division is a new portfolio under the FM department, the initial phase of the role will involve setting up of soft services division structure, developing strategic plan, establishing process and standard operating procedures, hiring and training a team for the soft services division. The role has work winning, P&L accountability and commercial performance responsibility for the soft services division.

 

What you will do:

 

Functional

    Develop and achieve soft services portfolio objectives, action plans and KPI to support the division (FM) in achieving the strategic Plan

    Budgeting and Cost Management: Developing and managing budgets, including forecasting expenses, monitoring costs manage Division P&L, periodically meeting with management / Finance discuss Revenue / COS vs. Budget and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

    Accountable for standardization of the quality of soft services provided throughout various locations and facilities. 

    Review division / service provider(s) performance and provide monthly reports to the Operations Manager regarding compliance against predetermined/contracted SLAs and KPIs.

    Communicate across all levels of the organization including operation reporting, data analysis and trending, executive presentations / management reporting and performance reporting.

    Supply chain management / Procurement: Drafting and tendering RFP’s / RFQ’s for supply chain services. Selecting and managing third-party vendors / supply chain contractors and service providers. 

    Assist Sales and Estimation team in work winning - review of service agreements, contracts and negotiation of the same with vendors.

    Manage project mobilization plans, risk and issue logs, actions log, project meetings, and produce regular progress reports

    Identify new opportunities for innovation and create compelling cases for business change and improvement relating to soft services.

 

People

    Team Management: Leading and managing a team of facilities Engineers / supervisors, maintenance personnel and contractors. 

    Providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure a high level of productivity, effectiveness, and professionalism.

    Ensure team have the skills, capabilities, and support to do their roles effectively. Develop staff development programs such as skills enhancement trainings and sessions.

    Manage in-house and outsourced resources to achieve compliance with company policies, procedures and guidelines while ensuring operational and financial efficiency.

    Conduct direct report performance appraisals in a timely, fair and constructive manner in order to promote their personal and career growth.

    Coordinate with the senior management on work issues.

    Liaising with Client to achieve excellence in customer satisfaction.

 

Process

    Develop and implement cleaning check lists, schedules, and protocols.

    Identify sustainable methods of service delivery including the increase of automated services to enhance delivery and wellness.

    Participate in the development of policies and procedures that affect the use of supplies and facilities.

           

Sustainability, Quality & HSE

    Enforce all local codes and best practices about cleaning, chemical usage, waste disposal and environmental action to ensure a clean and safe environment.

    Developing and implementing initiatives to improve service efficiency, reduce waste, and promote sustainability within the facilities. This may involve implementing recycling programs etc.

    Ensuring compliance with local, and internal regulations and best practice related to facility operations (technical), safety, and environmental standards. Implementing safety protocols, conducting regular inspections,  and addressing any potential hazards or non-compliance issues.

    Demonstrate commitment and Leadership to ensure that all HSE Policies and Procedures are fully implemented throughout the areas of responsibility and are compliant to all relevant legal, regulatory, or contractual requirements pertaining to HSE

 

Required Skills to be successful:

Job-Specific Skills: 

•    Extensive knowledge of the Real Estate industry (10 to 15 years) and market conditions in the Middle East.

•    Having worked within a Facilities Management environment with GCC in a managerial role.

•    Proficient in MS Office suites including MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint

•    Strong leader and communicator skills

•    Time Management and Client Management skills

•    Collaborative style of management

What equips you for the role:

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: 

•    Bachelor’s degree in a related subject, MBA or BICSc accreditation advantageous.

•    Advanced financial skills (P&L) and ability to prepare and manage a budget

•    Experience working with CAFM systems, Procurement management and Commercial / Contract Management.

•    Well versed with standard Cleaning Principles

•    Mobilization of contracts of Major Contracts

 

Minimum Experience: 

•    15 years’ experience with 5 years in a senior role, middle East experience is essential

•    Experience with Service Providing companies with client facing management role within the soft services industry.

Overview

This role is responsible for running and scaling a $10M+ Services business focused on the energy sector in the Middle East. Top of mind will be cultivating a culture of initiative-taking and scaling high-quality services sales and delivery to Middle East customers. This role has P&L responsibility as well as revenue targets and other KPIs for the Middle East as well as supporting global implementations. There is a small team on the ground delivering services today and a key remit of this role is to grow that team to meet expanding local demand so people management, including recruiting, retention, and employee engagement is also important.

 

Responsibilities

Running a $10M+ annual services business with significant growth opportunities involving multiple solutions driving successful project deliveries across the EC and Aucerna solution sets today, and legacy Quorum solution sets in the future

Drive quality, customer satisfaction, and consistency across customer projects

Grow, manage, and lead a high performing team of employees and contractors

Hitting revenue, margin, and CSAT targets for the services business

Forecasting the services revenues with a 2% accuracy target with no surprises at quarter end

Manage customer satisfaction across software implementation projects including managing relationships with Customer leadership

Working effectively with Sales and prospects to effectively solution and win quality business in a timely fashion

Long-term planning to ensure capacity needs are met for existing and new customers

Effectively staffing the right skills to the right opportunities and projects to fulfill customer demand

Responsible for overall talent in market segment, including both the recruitment and development of personnel to meet critical needs and mitigate potential resource risks in the organization

Create a positive and rewarding workplace for a multi-cultural employee base

Be able to effectively contribute to and communicate Company and Services organizational goals and ensure key performance indicator alignment across business segments

Be able to effectively define market segment organizational roles and responsibilities and ensure alignment across Global services

Drive effective cross-organizational collaboration across Sales, Product, R&D, Support, and Customer Success

Contribute to a strong team culture in the professional services organization

Taking on special projects to address specific needs across the business

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in technology or business

10+ years in software implementations, preferably large enterprise solution implementations

5+ years leadership experience managing and growing teams of 20+ people

Deep Oil & Gas domain expertise (Upstream, Midstream, & Planning)

Demonstrated history of successfully running a $10M+ services business with specific revenue, margin, and CSAT targets with a focus on expansion

Comfortable providing strategic advice to senior executives on business operations and goals

Communicates effectively with senior executives in either a sales or delivery context

Proactively addresses customer and internal issues quickly and effectively

Proven experience collaborating with partner networks to sell and deliver services

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively deliver presentations at all levels of the organization

The ability to understand business goals and quickly recommend innovative yet pragmatic approaches to achieve them

Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities/projects

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with peers in a team-oriented environment

Effective project management and change management skills

Strong leadership skills, driving positive and rewarding culture

Strong people skills, capable of proactively driving solutions across organizations

Familiar with PSA (Professional Services Automation) tools to manage and report on the business

Proficient in MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) as analysis and communication tools

Fluent in English (written and verbal), additional languages a plus

Ability to travel internationally up to 25%

 

Preferred Skills

Experience in gas and liquids transportation and marketing preferred but not required

Strong project management experience, preferably with agile methodologies

Civil Inspector, Parsons, Abu Dhabi, UAE

Position Overview

The Road Inspector is assigned to various phases of the road work and related works with an important part in assuring the quality of work in the finished project. Will be the eyes and ears of the ARE and the RE to ensure compliance with the drawings and specification of the works.

What You'll Be Doing:

Ensure that all construction works are performed in strict accordance with the plans and specifications.

Maintain a detailed diary of the day’s work activities, issues, work approved or rejected, hours of operation, labor and equipment used, etc. and sign at the end of each day as directed by the ARE.

Interface with the public and stake holders adjacent to the work to mitigate the construction impacts.

Coordinate with the contractor’s foreman in charge of the work on a daily basis to advise on the proper execution of the work.

Coordinate with the other disciplines inspectors and arrange for sampling and testing of satisfactorily completed work, and quality assurance testing of suspect materials.

Coordinate with the Surveyors to check the line and grade of ready work and completed work for conformance with the plans and specifications.

Report questionable methods of operation by the Contractor to the ARE or to the RE.

Report to the ARE or RE any failure of the Contractor to perform the work as per the drawings and specifications and to provide good workmanship.

Process the Inspection Requests and maintain records of their status.

Maintain detailed records of work performed by the contractor in case the work is performed on a Day Works basis.

Act positively and participate in all health and safety issues at site, as required by the Assistant Resident Engineer and the project safety representatives.

Act in a professional way but firm in dealings with the Contractor.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum of 5+ years of demonstrable experience in all aspects of road/infrastructure construction supervision on major road and general infrastructure projects preferably in the Gulf region.

He must possess the ability to read working drawings and related specifications, and capable of enforcing such specifications.

Must be fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and construction relevant software.

Good written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project team.

Must be available in UAE to attend client interview.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

Experience working on ADM (Abu Dhabi Municipality) project is preferred.

ADM approval as Civil Inspector is desired.
