We need an Internal Auditor
Duties and responsibilities: Main tasks and responsibilities • Planning and conducting audits: • Participating in the development of the annual risk-based audit plan. • Preparing audit work programs and defining the objectives, scope, and detailed procedures for the assigned audit (financial, operational, compliance, information technology). • Conduct field audit procedures to collect, analyze, and evaluate evidence and documentation related to the activities under review.
• risk assessment: • Evaluate the effectiveness of the design and operation of key internal control mechanisms across the organization. • Identifying and assessing risks that may hinder the achievement of the organization’s goals and proposing appropriate risk reduction controls.
• Preparing reports and recommendations: • Documenting the audit results and findings accurately and objectively, and supporting them with sufficient evidence. • Clearly drafting audit reports, providing practical, cost-effective recommendations in the simplest way possible so that they are actionable to address identified weaknesses. • Discuss the findings and recommendations with the relevant department to obtain commitments to corrective actions. • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulations and laws: • Monitoring management's implementation of agreed corrective actions to ensure that findings are addressed in a timely manner. • Ensuring the organization's compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as relevant external laws, regulations and standards.
• Continuous improvement: • Contributing to the development and improvement of internal audit methodologies and procedures. • Staying up-to-date with best professional practices and changes in the regulatory and industry environment. | |
Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required: Education and certifications: • Academic education: A university degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred. • Practical experience: • Practical experience of no less than (10) years in the field of internal auditing, accounting, or external auditing.
Required skills and competencies • Technical knowledge: Strong familiarity with the principles and standards of International Auditing (IIA Standards) and the COSO framework for internal control and risk management.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills: Excellent ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and infer the root causes of problems. • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including writing clear and persuasive reports and delivering presentations to senior management.
• Integrity and objectivity: Adherence to the highest standards of professional ethics and the ability to maintain independence and objectivity. • Attention to detail: High accuracy in work and documentation.
• Interpersonal skills: The ability to build effective working relationships with management and staff at all levels.
• Information technology skills: Proficiency in using basic computer programs (Microsoft Office) and data analysis software, and preferably familiarity with ERP systems.
Work conditions • Travel to other branches or locations of the organization may be required. • Working within a standard office environment, and may require working overtime when needed to complete audit reports. |
